Chaos Rises

When the veil fell, any half-bloods not strong enough to withstand chaos were torn apart. Some, like me and my brother, survived the fall. Most did not.

Raised in a lab and trained to kill, I might not know much about being human, but I do know demons, and they don't come more dangerous than the Prince of Pride - 'the devil'. My brother is trapped at the heart of Fairhaven, a demon stronghold. To get him back, I need Pride's help. Trained to kill princes, I know I can't trust this one. He'll lie, cheat, and manipulate to get what he wants: a new Dark Court so that he can rise again as its leader. I'll use him and any means necessary to save my brother.

Restauranteur, Hollywood socialite, Prince of Pride: Li'el is one of few demons left this side of the veil, and he has every intention of reveling in his new-found freedom. But being the last demon in Los Angeles means that when mauled and shredded bodies are found within a few blocks of Li'el's popular Decadent-i restaurant, the list of suspects is a short one. Add to that the suspicious death of a well-known reporter during one of Li'el's infamous after-parties, and he soon finds himself wanted for all the wrong reasons.
