Story
When facing the impossible, will you believe? Storm clouds gather over a small Michigan town. As thunder shakes the sky, the lights inside St. Thomas Church flicker...and then go out. All is black until a thick bolt of lightning slices the sky, striking the church’s large wooden cross - leaving it ablaze and splintered in two. When the storm ends, the search for answers begins. James Lindy, the church’s blind minister, wonders how his small congregation can repair the cross and keep their faith in the midst of adversity.

Story
After a successful revolt in 1846 that reversed the roles of slaves and masters, modern-day America is now dominated by a wealthy, Black ruling class, and Whites are dealing with decades of oppression and prejudice. When his father, a civil rights attorney, is killed after defending a White man, 17-year-old Willie Gibbons is forced to move to Michigan with his uncle and thrust into the heart of the racial divide. The Crown Lord is a stark and jarring look at race, class, and the American Dream that will keep listeners on edge.
