Great read

very good read. The Smoke Jenson books keep you interested clear through. The action starts right off and stays clear to last chapter.

Highly Recommend

Very enjoyable; the author wrote an intriguing story and the narrator was excellent telling it. There is never a dull moment.

William W. Johnstone’s words let you experience first hand this epic saga of Smoke, Luke, Matt Jensen and the Beloved Preacher. This book draws you in so you can ride along with the Jensen Family.
Once you start listening you can’t stop the story lets you feel and experience the danger of what these men went through to rescue their Brother Luke. Once you finish this book it leaves you wanting to read or hear more from William W. Johnstone.
The narration is awesome no one can tell a story like Jack Garret.
Jack has the talent to bring all of the characters to life.
I Highly recommend this title.

Lots of action. Get to know the Jensen family and their adventures. If you like westerners you will enjoy this book.

Family Jensen

This is a book I somehow overlooked. I thought I had read all of them. In this book Luke gets caught by some outlaws. They hold him and make Smoke break out there brother from Jail. Luke had caught him and turned him in for the bounty. Smoke has to break him out in exchange for Luke back safely. Smoke gets Matt and Preacher to help. This is a great book. Great story and narration

I love the Jensen stories and Jack Garret as a narrator. Great listen. Highly recommend.

NOT MR. JOHNSTONE'S BEST WORK

I'm a huge fan of the Jensens. I've read Mr. Johnstone's work for the past 15 or twenty years. Never have I seen them, ( The Jensens) all of them get beat up and manhandled as much as in this book. Smoke is a Shootist. One of the most exciting I have had the pleasure to read about and follow his exploits. Preacher has no peer, He's just Preacher, no nonsense, loves Smoke and the High Lonesome. Matt is like a grandson to him. Matt is the upstart, making his rep. The best part of this selection was, that Luke is now, reintroduced in the family.
Nobody beats smoke in a gunfight. There was not enough that. Preacher's intro was better. As I said Preacher is just Preacher. Not enough action. And the Jensens do not get manhandled.

Extremely cheesy. Overboard on descriptions

I read and listened to a lot of these books.
this one is terrible.
The book is so cheesy it's hard to listen to.
Everything seems to be overboard in this novel. Example: " he lit another Lucifer" who the hell says that? no one. Just say he lit another match...
It's a good thing this book was free and I can see why.
