Publisher's Summary

Thailand has a reputation for perfectly riding the line between relaxation and excitement, and nowhere is that more prevalent than in the tropical paradise that is Phuket. Within minutes you can go from a beachside massage under the shade of a coconut tree to a never-ending club night in the party capital of the world.
Phuket is a province, an island, a city, and a general term for a large collection of islands in the south of Thailand. It takes only a little more than an hour to drive the length of the main island of Phuket, but it's an area full of enormous variety and some of the best beaches, spas, wildlife, islands, resorts, and party spots in the world.
Phuket has something to offer everyone, whether you want a quiet week by the beach, an adventure holiday canoeing through tunnels and island hopping, or a blur of chaotic days spent between beach parties, nightclubs, and neon bars.
To traverse all of this, you will need help - which is where this guide comes in. Find the best ways to get to Phuket, discover how to get the most out of your budget, and explore all this wonderful island has to offer.
Whether you want to bask in the sun on the much loved west coast, lose yourself in a world-class spa, gaze at the beauty of the south coast, find your way to the mythical isles of Phi Phi or the Similan Islands, or go inland to Phuket Town, this guide has something for you.
If you're coming to Phuket, then you're coming to see some beaches, and it's important you find the right one for you. You're literally surrounded by breathtaking beaches, and with hundreds to choose from, making sure you make your base at the right one is important. Each beach comes with its own character, its own advantages, its own charms, its own beachside charms, and its own beachside collection of restaurants and hotels.
Once you've found the best beach for you, the question is what to do with the rest of your time.
With this Phuket travel guide, you will find out where Phuket's secret beaches are hidden and the best time to get to the various islands on offer. You will discover some of the best entertainment around and recommended places to stay and places to eat.
With so much variety on offer, it's often not a question of finding good food or good hotels but picking your favorite. Hear about the best way to get around without getting ripped off, beat the tourist touts and make your own route, and plan a journey that is unforgettable.
Shop in night markets, discover local hotspots and hidden beaches, time your stay to experience some of Phuket's beloved festivals, and, of course, catch some waves.
Whether this is your first time in Phuket or your 20th, you will always find the island has something new to offer you and the same things to make you fall in love with it.

Potty mouth misogynist fighter who's only visited

Target audience for this book is apparently middle class white men looking for fights, gyms, massages with "happy endings", and the cheapest steak around. I got a couple of tidbits out of it, but spent most of the book either bored (not a fighter or interested in being one, and that seems to be the only subject he's a real authority on) or weirded out by the unprofessional language (shitty, broke ass bitch, etc). He's spent most of his time in Thailand in Chiang Mai, not Phuket, by his own admission. This was a total waster of my money and time. Not to the usual audible standard at all, and I'm honestly surprised they published it.
