Ridiculous to Transfer to an Audio Book

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This is the audio equivalent of being on a Von Trapp Bus tour in Salzburg where the only places they take you to are glass shops where they get a kick back. The Five Day "highlights" are generically obvious and the "special" information all smacks of Salzburg glass shops. This will be the longest hour and a half of your life as you listen to the Narrator read telephone numbers and thirty digit http addresses like Siri Doing "Number 9'' from a Beatles album.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Anything but this.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Maddie Baylis?

Siri

What character would you cut from Paris, France: Travel Guide Book: A Comprehensive 5-Day Travel Guide to Paris, France & Unforgettable French Travel?

The writer.

Too frustrating to listen to

This book seems to have good info but they read out tons of long web link URLs and spell everything out. Not good as an audio book.

Too much time given to spelling out websites

What did you like best about Paris, France: Travel Guide Book: A Comprehensive 5-Day Travel Guide to Paris, France & Unforgettable French Travel? What did you like least?

The narrator had a lovely accent, pleasing to the ear. The information for a first time traveler to France was helpful in certain parts of the book. The info was more basic, which was great in my case.

Would you be willing to try another book from Passport to European Travel Guides? Why or why not?

No, not if whenever there is a good suggestion for a tour company, restaurant, etc, followed by the spelling out of each website. It was very tedious to listen to the spelling out of numerous websites.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Maddie Baylis?

No one else.....I think she was doing what she was asked to do; as mentioned before, she has a pleasing voice.

A helpful tourist guide.

Any additional comments?

I plan to go to Paris next month and I am happy that I found such a comprehensive audio guide that will help me explore the city during my one week stay. The five-day itinerary covers all the places in the city, that every tourist should visit. The audio guide offers great suggestions how to stay within your budget range and there is also a short French language course (only for the most important phrases). I highly recommend this audiobook for everyone going first time in Paris!

Enjoy listening to readings of website addresses and phone numbers?

Then this is the guide for you! "H-T-T-P colon forward slash forward slash w-w-w dot ..." And so on! Reading of website addresses in full, street addresses (always "Paris, France") and phone numbers was fully 25% of this "book." Also, handy tips like get a passport and that they speak French in France. If you have never traveled anywhere before, and enjoy hearing numbers read aloud, maybe this will be useful.
