A Must Listen For People In Miami
This is a great book to listen to while traveling to and from work that is very captivating. It tell the history behind places such as Stiltsville, Miami Marine Stadium, Freedom Tower and the Miami Herald Building.
The story about the Grand Bay Hotel is a building that got demolished way too soon and had a lot of history behind it.
The Lost Places of Miami
A lot of deep history and information of places I knew about.
Miami's secrets, uncovered.
It's hard to compare this to anything else. This is a history book, but unlike other history books I've read, this one has an adventurous feel to it.
Mr. Solis's delivery is very clean, direct, and enjoyable. What I liked best was that he has a Hispanic accent. This contributes greatly to the performance because it gives the book a more genuine feel and plenty of Miami flair.
I thought the chapter on the Krome insane asylum was creepy. The true history of the place was amazing. The Interama chapter is also one of my favorites.
Bravo! The book, and Mr. Solis's performance, are exceptional.
