Excellent and very informative.

Would you listen to Castles in Wales again? Why?

Yes. This audiobook is packed with interesting information on 20 of the author’s favourite castles in Wales, and gives not only a comprehensive history of each one but also a lot of practical information.

However, you are travelling, by foot, bus, car or coach the author has furnished you with all you need to enjoy and explore these wonderful historic monuments. The opening times and entry prices are also included as well, as well as indications of the levels of fitness you would need to have, and wheelchair access.

Have you listened to any of Phillip J Mather’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have to say, perhaps because I am English, I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook being read by the English narrator Phillip J. Mather, whose deep, classical voice suited this subject so well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to it in one sitting because I love history, however, each castle has its own section so it is perfect as a travel guide.

Any additional comments?

Having enjoyed many childhood holidays in Wales and recently having had my daughter at university at Bangor I have had the opportunity to visit many of the castles mentioned and look forward to enjoying visiting Wales in the future and using this audiobook as my guide.
