Publisher's summary

The year is 2044. The German Occupation Authority has held the United States in a tyrannical grip for the past 100 years, ever since the Nazis emerged victorious in World War II. Loner rebel Scott Hanover hates the GOA for destroying his family and regularly defies its harsh rule. Jailed for general crimes against the state, he awaits execution in a New Mexico prison. Then one day, Hanover is given the chance to "escape". There is, however, a price to pay for his freedom. Hanover must travel back in time to 1944 to thwart the plans of the Nazis.

But there are GOA police on his tail, and one man in particular who will stop at nothing to see Hanover dead. The task is impossible, and no one expects Hanover to come back alive. Can he survive the Timegate and change the course of history? In the end, it is Hanover alone who must risk everything to claim a new future for America.

A light weight but enjoyable listen

An interesting use of "time travel" mixed with WW II history. A well-paced straight forward listen. On the downside it lacks any real suspense, espionage intrigue or action. Worth the credit when looking for a "I don't want to think too much" book but you won't miss anything by letting it pass.

Could not put it down

I could not shut this book off. I had to finish it. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Do not begin unless you can finish it. I LOVED this book.

ouch, this was bad

I did listen to this all the way through, so it wasn't totally painful.
But it was such a disappointment. Some things made no sense. Some things were never tied together. Character motivations were childish and unconvincing.
And there was too little suspense or drama to compensate for these lacks.
