Publisher's summary

A woman’s disappearance exposes a life of secrets in a twisting novel of psychological suspense from the author of The Memory Watcher.

Meredith Price is the luckiest woman alive. Her husband, Andrew, is a charming and successful financial broker. She has two lovely stepchildren and is living in affluence in a mountain resort town. After three years of marriage, Meredith’s life has become predictable. Until the day she disappears.

Her car has been discovered in a grocery store parking lot - purse and phone undisturbed on the passenger seat, keys in the ignition, no sign of struggle, and no evidence of foul play. It’s as if she vanished into thin air.

It’s not like Meredith to simply abandon her loved ones. And no one in this town would have reason to harm her. When her desperate sister, Greer, arrives, she must face a disturbing question: What if no one really knows Meredith at all? For Greer, finding her sister isn’t going to be easy…because where she’s looking is going to get very, very dark.

Fairly Predictable

Short, easy read but it was fairly predictable. There were a few twists and turns but nothing blew my mind

A good diverson

I enjoyed this book and the narration. The chapters alternate between the sisters and flows very well. This was a nice read away from the true crime, a good book to listen too while driving. I am looking forward to reading another of Minka Kent's books.

Loved The Twists & Unexpected Turns

Wow who to believe! What to believe! Minka Kent does an incredible job of meandering though a maze with complex characters. At times liking them and then questioning their intentions all along. I love how transparent Meredith is. Yes she is very young but she believes in love and this guides her heart and her actions. Secondary characters are so well developed and all are key to this angsty, suspenseful mystery. Narration is perfection by this dual team.

Unexpectedly good

Ugh, Meredith is a deplorable, vapid human that lacks honor. She lies, like all the time and mostly to herself. This story is a train wreck I couldn't stop looking at... I got reeled in and stayed up way too late to finish the story.

entertaining

the story kept my interest as I listened on a long drive. However there were just too many major flaws in the plot.

Minka Kent never disappoints!

Great story, I wanted the narrator to go faster so I could find out who did it!

good story; mediocre narrating

The narrator who portrayed Meredith seems to have very little range. About 85% of her sentences all come out the same. She *was*the younger sister, though, so that seemed a bit fitting...
