I loved The Substitution Order so much that I chose this book. It is good, but the Substitution is hard to match.

Exceptionally good and imaginative story
Excellent writing, excellent reader. What a great find. Writer, himself a judge, shows superior imagination in crafting the story. His other book, The Substitution Order, is also excellent. Different reader, but equally good. Strongly recommended.

New Author Find
I am thrilled to find an author that I think is a combo of Michael Connelly & John Grisham. I enjoyed this tale although one has to suffer with the struggle of a good guy getting bad breaks.

Great Everything!
This is the best book I have read! Truly great writing is on display! The story is intriguing and reflects legal intrigue, family dynamics, humor, and sympathy. Most importantly are the interesting and well-defined characters that reflect various complexities and great dialogue!

This book is brilliantly written. His characters are complex, his descriptive narrative is rich and evocative of James Lee Burke. The story is engaging as well. In additon to all of this the reader is among the best in the biz. I am now hoping Mr. Clark will be turning in many more novels like Legal Limit.

Fan of legal thrillers!
In the beginning of this book the narrator did sound like a drunk and I was ready to return the book as there was no way I could listen to the rest of it with this style (and voice) of narration! Good thing I decided to listen a bit more, as the narrator was much better to listen to for the duration of the.remainder of the book! Very well written! I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend to others! Just be a bit patient and get.past the beginning (story set-up)!

Captivating!
I had no idea what to expect with this book as I picked it up randomly after doing a Google search of popular court room drama type books. I’m so glad I did! I listened to this entire book in four days while doing my daily chores. The narrator was incredible and the writer among the best I’ve discovered. You will not be disappointed!
