Publisher's summary

Lucky Morgan has had her share of heartbreak. She is devastated when her boyfriend dumps her after sleeping with him, and she vows to herself that she won't be used again. She decides that the next guy she dates and sleeps with, will be her one true love.

Zane Beaumont is a mysterious and snooty guy that comes into her diner every Friday night, always with a different girl. He's the type of guy she has learned to avoid: carefree, fast, handsome, rich, and sarcastic. Unfortunately, she can't stop thinking about the devilish gleam in his eyes.

When Lucky's car breaks down one night after a party, it is Zane who comes to her rescue. As Zane attempts to sweep Lucky off of her feet, she soon realizes that nothing is as it seems - Zane may very well be the guy for whom she changes the rules. That is until she meets Braydon...

New Adult Contemporary Romance **Mature Content** Recommended for ages 17+ due to sexual situations and language.

It was okay

It wasn't the worse book I have listened to, it had some good scenes but overall, I don't think I would recommend it.

What just happened?

There I was, listening to a story, maybe not the best story, but a story that had potential....then all of a sudden, it was just over. The lead man did a complete turn around. One page he was one character, the next page he was a different character, then the story was just over. It's like the author had a word quota, and when she hit it, that was all. I'm just not sure.

I read this series when it first came out

This is based on my re-read experience. I purchased this when it first came out in book form and enjoyed it. This is the first time I have desired to read it again. i am going to read the rest of the series again with a smile on my face.

Love the book

This one doesn’t disappoint. JS Copper is one of my favorite authors, she manages to keep me on my toes and waiting for the next book. Not to excited about the narrator on this one, her voice kind of annoyed me but not enough to stop listening.

Boring

Would you try another book from J. S. Cooper and/or Saskia Maarleveld?

I don't know.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The story line was good in the beginning, then I feel the author was rushing things and left you hanging. I guess there might be another book coming. I hope the second book will explain more to the story.

What does Saskia Maarleveld bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She was very passionate, but men voice needed to sound more maxim.

Could you see The Last Boyfriend being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yes and no - They were need a good screen writer to fill in the empty parts that needed to be addressed.

The Last Boyfriend

This is one of J.S. Cooper's older novels and you can tell her writing has improved through the years.

As to the story line, I find it is strong, with like able characters, Lucky, Zane and his brother Brayden. Unfortunately Lucky finds herself in a love triangle she did not wish to be in. If one brother would only professes his love for her, she would know she is not being played.

Because this is book 1 of 4, I will not comment more.
