Publisher's summary

A strange velvet overstuffed chair is delivered to Jack's apartment. When he sits in the chair, sinking down through the soft cushions, he finds himself in a realm of pirates, sorcerers and three masted ships that fly the skies.

incredible rediscovery

When I first listened to this as a junior high kid, I didn't really understand or appreciate it. But I just listened to it again and I really, really understand it now. It's a wonderful story about the need to escape from a drab adult world. Author Meatball Fulton (Thomas Lopez) gave himself a challenge, I imagine, tones down his references to mysticism and instead relies mostly on images from popular fantasy (winged ships, floating islands) and surrealism (the black Mona Lisa with her mustache, glowing mushrooms that tell the future, a grand piano pulled by horses.) It's a wonderful escape, quite witty, and a masterpiece of sound engineering. I really love it now!

I love all of Jack Flanders adventures.

if you like old-timey radio plays not just books narrated by one narrator then Z BS is the is the good stuff you're looking for I've been listening to stuff for years my friend had the first two CDs the fourth Tower of Inverness and Moon Over Morocco. my only complaint is that I can't get a copy of Moon Over Morocco on Audible I wish I could and also steam dreamers of Inverness. you you would have my money in a second if those were on your website. and if somehow magically meatball Fulton is out there and he reads this I want to tell him thank you for all of the awesome stories that he has provided through zbs.

Zany mind-bending radio theater

I listened to this when I was a kid and just rediscovered it on Audible. It’s a wild ride of imagination, sometimes a little wandering, sometimes a little confusing, but always entertaining. Sit in the green chair why don’t you?

Hard to follow and poor storyline

This book was hard to follow and made no sense. The descriptions where very minimal to none and the storyline made no sense. I got an hour in and still had no clue what the book was about.

Not the most superb in the series, but good...

Early Jack Flanders adventure, with great voice acting, sound effects, Monty Pythonesque Sky pirates, puns and fun - The Works. The obligatory New Age story runs a bit thin towards the end, but the Tim Clark musical accompaniment makes up for it, and I for one, don't much care.
