Publisher's summary

Called an eccentric beast by the citizens of Amesport, Maine, handsome billionaire Grady Sinclair stays isolated in his mansion on a private peninsula. The arrangement suits Grady just fine - until an angelic woman rings his doorbell, awaking his long dormant passion with her fearlessness. All he wants is to make the fiery blonde his forever. But will he have to become the monster everyone thinks he is to get his Christmas wish?

Emily Ashworth is desperate. The Youth Center has been robbed of all its money, and as the director, she has to find a way to give the town's needy children the Christmas they deserve. With nowhere else to turn, she ventures to the mansion of a mysterious billionaire to ask for help. Warned to expect a beast, Emily is shocked to find Grady Sinclair a handsome and passionate man. Is this misunderstood billionaire just a lonely soul who needs the gift of love for Christmas?

SHORT..... BUT PACKED FULL OF HAPPINESS

First of all this is actually book 0.5 in the Sinclair Billionaire series and I purchased this Novella because I had already listened to book 1 No Ordinary Billionaire which was about Dante and this Novella is about his brother Grady.

Anywhoo back to the book, this was a short but very enjoyable listen about the hermit Grady Sinclair but he had good reasons to dislike mixing with people, hating parties and had feeling like he was different from the rest of the Sinclairs. He dreamed of fitting in with the rest of his four siblings but he never did because of the actions of his cruel Father..... but, at 18, fate stepped in and helped him out.

Thirteen years later, Emily fell on his doorstep (literally) desperately looking for a donation for the broke Charity Youth Centre where she was a Director and when handsome Grady himself opened the door it was game over for both of them because Grady made her an offer she couldn't refuse. It was a charming, funny, sweet, tender, romantic and heroic story as they clashed, argued, made mad passionate possessive love and shared Christmas together. With a couple of short drama filled near death experiences thrown in too.

Worth a credit? Dual POV's, a great narrator who could do male voices well and it was under $10 (and it was a bargain at only $5.24 while on sale) it was a very worthy buy so saving a credit for a more expensive listen.

Turning of the beast

Grady forever hated Christmas. His father was cruel and no one was sad that he was dead. Now seen as the lonely Beast who no one bothers one woman seeks him out to save Christmas for the whole town. This book is exciting and a love story that changes the Beast into the Prince to love forever.

ugggg fast forwarded it mostly

ridiculous tripe, I like a good romance but this was too hard to swallow!!! Spóiler: Within a week of knowing each other, he saved her twice from a bullet and drowning, let's her go through his finances ect this was just ignorant. The narrator did a good job and she tried.

A little more story A little less PU***

I like the story and I don't mind sex scenes, but I can't stand the p-word. I think overall I like the writing style, but the use of that word repeatedly is a lack of imagination. The author is a talented writer, but it seems to me she falls back on the same old details in her sex scenes.

Unbelievable

I'm sure since the story was so short that the fact that this novella was so predictable and difficult to believe can be attributed to that reason. However, J. S. Scott seems to have similar plots throughout any given series she does.
The performance was good, but I wouldn't spend a credit on this unless you've exhausted your ability to buy something else.

🤦🏾‍♀️

Honestly, I am rethinking if i should finish the rest of the books...
All of them are the same, just different characters...
all the ladies are 5'8" and 27-28
All the men have brown eyes....
All the phrases are the same,Soooooooo veeeeeeery predictable.....
I can't anymore....
seriously, you are wasting our money if we are just going to hear the same thing over and over just playing with the words...
come on! please!

Not the best, but enjoyable.

Not one of her best but still enjoyable. Fast and easy read and would recommend.

Satisfying quickie

This was a nice brief escape. A very short love at first sight story with a wonderful happy ending that left me feeling good. Very good narration as well. Not worth a credit due to the length but definitely worth buying and listening. Great under $10 buy.

Cutest love story

I have re listened this story 4 times already and I have re read it even more times than that.
Particularly, I love Grady and Emily as characters. They both have their own problems/pasts to deal with but they found a way to deal with them, together.
About the audiobook, the narrator did a great job telling the story. The change of tone for each character, the inflection when speaking certain parts, the conspiratory tone, etc.
This is a feel good story that I will continue to love for years on end.
