Probably one of the best audiobooks I have ever listened to. The narrator did an excellent job with the accent and western vernacular that it made it really fun to listen to!

story was gripping and exciting!!
This story seemed like your average western but the more you got into it, the more things got more interesting! There's a lot of sass and adventure. I can't wait to read more!

Disappointing narrator...
The narrator was just average. But perhaps I've been spoiled by my last few listens. A few voices sounded the same.. Especially the male voices.

Hunting for a gold mine
Looking for a change of pace ? This is a pretty decent Western, featuring a rather tough teenage girl out to avenge her father's murder. Similarities to "True Grit" end there. Good narration captures the colloquial speech patterns.

Definitely a YA Story
Action packed, fast paced story with gutsy characters and a fairly believable plot line. A little simplistic as far as Kate , Will and Jesse's ability to withstand gunshot and knife wounds, a dust storm , lack of food and water and the Rose gang. I would not consider this to be a book that extends much beyond a YA audience. Just a warning for the older crowd.

Great western tale with a wonderful cowboy heroine
Vengeance Road is a really fun read. The language and history referenced make the story feel very authentic. The western culture comes to life from the books rich detail and colorful characters.
Highly recommend!!
