Publisher's summary

It's 1984 and the only things on Prudence Pierce's mind are seducing her violin instructor and, with the help of her sister Deborah, avoiding the wrath of their mother for stepping out of the house dressed like Madonna. Her mother might also be a teensy bit angry about the medallion Pru swiped from the attic - a medallion that glows lime green and has an oddly hypnotic, holographic effect when Pru holds it in her hand.

A simple blink is all it takes to yank Pru from the car with her dad into a world of hurt. She awakens in 2305 to find herself pinned under what's left of CHRONOS headquarters, thanks to a recent terrorist attack. Their prime suspect? Her mother, Katherine Shaw. And everyone wants to know how Pru got her hands on a CHRONOS key.

Pru is convinced that the key is the answer to all her problems. She'll use it to stop her mother, fix her relationship with Deb, and even restore CHRONOS, so that her new friend Tate can return to the job he loves.

She can't do it alone, however. Fortunately, she finds Saul Rand, and he's more than willing to help.

An interesting perspective

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The story was relatively short, compared to most of the books I listen to. I think I might have just had enough of the Chronos Files, so I'm glad I listened to it, but I definitely wouldn't listen to it again.

Any additional comments?

I think this book gave us a unique perspective on Pru, which did help you understand her better, but I realize now, that it was information that I would have been just as content without.

Are you kidding me!

This series has intrigued me since book 1. Reading this novella brings a while other side to Pru's character and makes me more excited for book 3 that was released today! I have a feeling the story will go in directions I never even imagined. ....lots of twists are coming or way. ....I can't wait.

The reader is awesome and brings the books alive. I can't stop listening. ..

More of the same

If you like the series, you'll like this. Could have been longer but I'm guessing she wanted to save son for the last book.

WOOOOOW!

What made the experience of listening to Time's Mirror the most enjoyable?

I love these books, the characters are so real. I know from personal experiance Saul is SPOT ON the abuser personality. Prus story is so heart breaking, and real, its hard to see her as a villan after this. Rysa Walker is an amazing story teller. Ive never loved a set of books more then I love hers. this is deffinately a good read. What makes these books extra special is theres never any contradictions. Each book and novella fit into the the others flawlessly, and only add to your understanding.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Pru is complicated, crazy and a little bit like Kate which makes her story so compelling. Shes almost an alternate Kate. Its pretty awesome.

What about Kate Rudd’s performance did you like?

Kate Rudd is the best at doing guy voices, they arent as painful to listen to as other women narrators, and she is consistant with the differences in her female characters voices which is also awesome. I wish she could narrate every book I get, and I have even been known to get a book just because shes on it.

Get inside the mind of Prudence

This was a brilliant novella and a real treat for the Chronos fans. Who knew Pru could be such a sympathetic character? Written from the perspective of a teenage Prudence, we finally get to see what led to the crazy older ‘Mother Prudence’ from the previous books. This story follows her as she uses the key for the first time and travels to 2306. We get Pru’s perspective of how events unfold and the author makes her a very sympathetic character. You find yourself rooting for Prudence throughout the book. I only wish this was a longer listen - I found Prudence utterly fascinating.

To short!

Loved this book! It had so much more detail into the overall story but it was to short and left off to soon. Wish it told more into her and Kate.

Review of Time's Mirror

In this book we got to watch the other side unfold. Know I'm not sure who's in charge. Seeing it from Prudence's perspective made you think. I wonder if Saul is just crazy but not totally in charge. Can't wait for the final episode!

Love it but it's short

Rysa Walker's time travel saga has me hooked. i like that she has written from different character's perspectives on different books in the series. As always love Kate Rudd's narration too. Now on to Time's Divide!
