Interesting treatment of death

I enjoyed the contrast between her mother's terminal illness and her vampire boyfriend's cursed immortality. However, that said, I thought it was depressing and somewhat painful to listen to. I was kind of glad when it was over.

pretty dull

the characters didn't have much depth to them. the only touching part is the relationship between Zoe and her mom. it was interesting however that I think the author of Twilight must have read this book at some time. they are different stories but certain parts seemed similar. I think if I had been 12 reading this i might have liked it. the only thing I did like was the beginning short story about Simon. that piece was excellent and made me want to cry.
