Not a book i could get into

I am a listener who listens to books several times. This book i could not get into this book for some reason. I am not sure if it was the narrator or the story line.

Better story, worse telling.

A little more fast paced, more characters, a couple more artifacts. The general activity in the story is a bit higher in volume, but the telling of the story....well...I am not sure if it is due to my understanding of the back story or the tone of the narrator. But, this second story was much more of a kids story than the first. I would not say it was a waste of money, the story was OK, but it started to sound like a young kids story. Granted it was written for teens, but I would have expected the second book to be more complex in the telling.
