Publisher's Summary

In the happy, clean community of Austin Valley, everything appears to be perfect. Seventeen-year-old Em Fuller, however, fears something is askew. Em is one of the new generation of dream travelers. For some reason, the gods have not seen fit to gift all of them with special abilities.
Em is a Defect-one of the unfortunate dream travelers not gifted with a psychic power. Desperate to do whatever it takes to earn her gift, she endures painful daily injections along with commands from her overbearing, loveless father. One of the few bright spots in her life is the return of a friend she had thought dead - but with his return comes the knowledge of a shocking, unforgivable truth. The society Em thought was protecting her has actually been betraying her, but she has no idea how to break away from its authority without hurting everyone she loves.

What does Elizabeth Klett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Elizabeth Klett is an AMAZING narrator and she brings all the characters to life in a way that I can't even imagine doing in my own head ... she never over does a character, they all sound different but not forced ... she is talented at naturally creating voices that seem real and well defined with individual characteristics

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

to quote the book ...
'People fight wars for power... but those who win are motivated by love'

Any additional comments?

A month ago I didn't know anything about this author or narrator and now, today I am a HUGE FAN of both.

Awesome author narrator team

Em lives in the perfect place for dream travelers, except she is one of a new generation where it seems some are not being blessed with their psychic gifts, they are considered defects. But when Em finds out the shocking truth behind why she hasn't received her gift, she is torn with how to fix this for all the other defects before it is to late and hurting those she loves.

This book is filled with a ton of action and suspense, you might just fall off of your seat while rooting for Em, Rogue and all of their friends. These characters are all so strong and smart you will wish they were your friends, they are that awesome and their bonds are so strong. I had the audio narrated by the wonderful Elizabeth Klett, she did such a great job, I totally lost myself in this book and found myself wanting to help and cheering Em and Rogue on myself. She just made this book so awesome for me, what a wonderful author narrator team I hope they stay together for a long time.
