Seventeen-year-old Daphne Janus travels with her best friend to an island off the coast of California where she thinks she's trying out a new resort before its grand opening. Soon she's told that her parents have sent her there to undergo a new experimental therapy for suicidal people designed to terrify patients into fighting for their lives. Daphne doesn't know what to believe; she just wants off the island.

Wow

Would you consider the audio edition of The Purgatorium, Volume 1 to be better than the print version?

I would never consider one format better than the other. Where print let's you imagine the roles and perceptions in your own views audio gives you another outlook into it. It shows you how the narrators interpret the story.

What other book might you compare The Purgatorium, Volume 1 to and why?

The Purgatorium is a story in its own right. The way Eva gives the characters life is intriguing. My favorite so far is Dr. Grey.

What about Coco Bell’s performance did you like?

Coco Bell did an excellent job with this story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did not want to put this book down.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend this book to anyone. It's amazing.
