A little too smart, a little too fat, Bobby Goodspeed has always been a go-along-to-get-along kind of guy. He and his fellow misfits Skeezie, Joe, and Addie have accepted their place in the middle school ecology, and the mockery that comes with it. Then Addie decides to tackle the student council elections and suddenly Bobby finds his life - and his self! - changing in ways he never could have imagined. Brought to sparkling life by a cast of over two dozen actors, this tender, touching, utterly hilarious tale of life as a middle school misfit will delight not only those who are in middle school, but all those who have survived the experience.More

No. But it is a great compliment to the book. I use it in my 7th Grade class in my unit on Character Education. It helps the students who are not good readers to listen to it as we are following along in class.
Most students like the funny parts.
It helps with the words they are not familiar with.
Good addition to the book!

WELL DONE! The Misfits by James Howe
This production of The Misfits by James Howe makes the story even better! The characters come to life through the voices of actors playing the characters. As a middle school teacher, it was a great way to introduce the book to a group of students. The various voices piqued the interest of our students and got them ready to read this selection in a semi-independent format. Thank you for this very well done audiobook!
