Publisher's summary

For Tess Kendrick, a junior at the elite Hardwicke School in Washington, DC, fixing runs in the family. But Tess has another legacy, too, one that involves power and the making of political dynasties.

When Tess is asked to run a classmate's campaign for student council, she agrees. But when the candidates are children of politicians, even a high school election can involve life-shattering secrets. Meanwhile, Tess' guardian has also taken on an impossible case, as a terrorist attack calls into doubt who can - and cannot - be trusted on Capitol Hill.

Tess knows better than most that power is currency in Washington, but she's about to discover firsthand that power always comes with a price.

Perfect for fans of Harlan Coben and Ally Carter, the second audiobook in this thrilling series will leave listeners breathless.

Amazing Book with so many Twists!

Like most of Jen's Books its full of twists that will throw you for a loop with Every Chapter. Cassandra Morris does an amazing job Bringing our hero to life in a way that just Fits Perfectly. The Only complaint that I have is that I want more. I Want more Tess I want more Ivy! I DO NOT WANT MORE HENRY.

Overall it's an amazing book!

DC based teen thriller.

An equally thrilling sequel following teen heroine through a DC scandal. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

Complex and satisfying!

This book is phenomenal.
I love the narrator.
I used my 2 monthly Audible credits to buy the first and second book in this series and now I’m buying extra credits to get more of this author’s work.
The layers and intricacies of the characters and plot are delicious. I won’t spoil anything in the book because unspooling the individual pieces is part of the joy of reading.
Buy it.
(But buy the first book in the series first. Start at the very beginning—it’s a very good place to start.)

Sure to get the adrenaline flowing.

A great follow-up to the first book in the series. Dramatic and twisty, and tragic at moments. But definitely enjoyable. It leaves some questions open at the end, leaving you to wonder if another book might happen. None so far, but who knows?

It was good to get back to Tess,Ivy, And the rest of the gang. I wanted more but it feels as of this is the end of the series? Will there be a book 3?
still alot of unanswered questions.
I hate how the trail ends with Georgia Noland.
Is there no justice in the world?

Cute light hearted story.

I was excited to find a mystery story without sex or murder. This is a cute story but the characters were very one sided. Amelia is a very naive PI and Rick is a rather soft "bad boy". But I loved how clean it was. It was a fun story that I would say would be great for 13-14 year olds.
