Publisher's summary

When 16-year-old Tess Kendrick is sent to live with her older sister, Ivy, she has no idea that the infamous Ivy Kendrick is Washington, DC's number-one "fixer" - known for making politicians' scandals go away for a price. No sooner does Tess enroll at Hardwicke Academy than she unwittingly follows in her sister's footsteps and becomes DC's premier high school fixer, solving problems for elite teens.

Secrets pile up as each sister lives a double life...until their worlds come crashing together, and Tess finds herself in the middle of a conspiracy with one of her classmates and a client of Ivy's. Suddenly there is much more on the line than good grades, money, or politics, and the price for this fix might be more than Tess is willing to pay.

Perfect for fans of Pretty Little Liars and Heist Society, listeners will be clamoring for more in this exciting new series.

Great listen!

Being older than a high schooler, I feared that the plot might be too childish for me. BUT BOY WAS I WRONG! Soooo many good twists and turns. I absolutely loved it!

YA’s ‘Scandal’ (TV show)

An enjoyable, twisted, thrilling ride. The Husband and I (both of us over 40 years old) enjoyed listening to this book together.

good story overall

I enjoyed this book for the most part. plot was a little predictable, but it wasn't a bad story and had some good twists. there were a few times when the wrong name was read (Ivy instead of Vivi). not sure if that was a typo issue or a performance issue.

if you like mysteries with a little thrill to them, this is a good pick.

Narrator sounds like a child

I couldn’t even get past the squeaky little voice of the narrator. It ruined the whole book for me, couldn’t even finished. What were they thinking?

Interesting book.

It is a very entertaining book. It would appeal to both teens and adults. I stayed up to listen to the last chapter - until 1 am.

intriguing

I'm really picky with thrillers, but I've read Barnes in the past and thought to give her other work a shot. loved the friendship and family dynamics of the story. lots of twists, some predictable, others very well done. glad I listened to this.

Good but…

It was a good story my main issue is that Ivy is supposed to be the best fixer yet she moves her sister to the most obvious place 🤔 if she’s the best fixer be consistent and write her a bit smart than that

enjoyed it

some reviews didn't care for the narrators voice, but I found it suitable for a book about a teenage girl. The story was written well and look forward to the next book.

Loved Every Second!

I already own a physical copy of this book and couldn't put it down the first time I read it. The plot keeps you guessing up until the end and the characters are so well written, they seem like real people with real personalities. I bought the audible version of this book to listen to at work but worried about the narration because others have been difficult to listen to. I was very pleased by this one though. Each character had their own "voice" and none sounded annoying. Overall, I am pleased with this audible purchase!
