All about taking charge!

As a bigger person in a skinny world, I was interested by the title and wanted to see if my view was the same as "Ginny's".

The story progresses through some troubles, some decisions, and some changes that make this a wonderful story. It allows the reader to see the world from a different point of view from, possibly, his/her own.

This is a great story for 14 yo and up. There are some sexual situations and an adult situation regarding the main character's brother. However, overall the story is very much worth the time and the theme comes through loud and clear. I loved it!

Her brain is even bigger.

What made the experience of listening to The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things the most enjoyable?

Witty YA lit tale that deals with date rape, body image and first sexual encounters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things?

Anais' first kiss with Froggy, how she fell on and off her diet, her relationship with her faraway older sister.

What about Johanna Parker’s performance did you like?

Parker is very believable as a teen and as a listener you forget she is not Anais herself.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to this book over a few weeks while I had time in my car and it was very easy to pick up where I left off without a lot of memory jogging. A relaxed, undemanding story.
