As Cole and Tessa manage to find their way back to one another, they embark on yet another new chapter in their lives. While attempting to navigate her first year of college, it becomes apparent to Tessa that everyone has their eyes set on Cole Stone. When status quo, clingy college girls, old insecurities, and her slightly neurotic tendencies cause her to question whether she can actually make the relationship work, it's up to Cole to show her that he's never letting go, not again. But even for Cole Grayson Stone it's not easy to convince his Shortcake of his never ending devotion as time apart, communication problems, and a quirky new group of friends start to unravel the delicate thread that binds the two together. Can the boy who once protected her from the world protect Tessa from herself?
Warning: The book comes with a bad boy desperate to win back the love of his life. He's going to fight dirty and he's willing to go down on his knees and beg. If you thought Cole Stone was swoon-worthy before, wait till you see him get the girl.

Unlike other reviews this will not be a praise to the book or to the author but it will be an honest one. I think the writer had a really good story idea. The concept of the story would have been really good if written in a better way. The main female character was just too depressing and annoying to listen to. She is selfish, and dwells in self pity. Like I said this book had a good concept and could have gone in any direction but listening to Tessa with her self hate was just depressing. Not to mention Cole was just as pathetic, they both were just so depressing to listen to. One moment Tessa loves Cole the next she hates his guts. I don’t know if the author knows what Love is but this is not Love. This story is about two pathetic selfish individuals who only care about themselves. As a matter of fact, all the characters in this story are selfish her mom, her dad, her brother, her best friend’s mother, Jay, Nicole. These characters are not good ppl they are selfish and bad examples of what Love truly looks like. Now with that said I do like some characters like her friend Megan, and Beth which both seem to have better stories to tell than Tessa. If you have not read the story let me break down for you. Tessa was the fat girl who got skinny. She was bullied by her ex-BFF, and Cole when she was younger. You can see half way through the first book in the series he is actually in love with her and used to bully her in order for to take notice of him. She was so in love with his step brother Jay. He is protecting her and trying to build her self-esteem. But Tessa hates who she is and breaks every single thing down in her head. It is very annoying to hear the female character constantly bash themselves over and over again. By the time the second book comes around they got into a huge fight he said some messed up crap and she hates his guts. My biggest problem with both characters is they both overreact to everything. There is no talking to one another, they both act like children. When she slices herself “by mistake” looking on at her brother & BFF happy together, I was done. Tessa needs a lot of therapy, the fact that she is allowed to dwell in her self pity about something so dumb is either bad writing or the character is pathetic. Tessa is not a sympathetic character where you could feel her pain, she is just a drama queen who makes a mountain out of a mole hill. Majority of her and Cole’s problem would be solved if they just spoke to one another. This book series is horrible. Do not waste a credit!!! Author has potential but in the end her characters were just too pathetic for me to care. From a female perspective, this girl is the worst girl to find inspiring. She is whiny and pitiful. I understand that she starts off as a teen who is just experiencing her first love but this girl is too dramatic and too annoying. The adults in her life shouldn’t encourage this horrible behavior. She says mean things to hurt Cole because he hurt her by mistake, it makes her mean-spirited. She enjoys making him feel bad because he made her feel bad about herself. She is right she deserves to be miserable! I hope the author writes better characters in the future.

A Really Mad that It's a Cliffhanger
I loved this book. I loved the first one. I waited to read this series until this one came out because I hate waiting for ever for the next book to come out. I would not have read this series had I of known it wasn't finished. It really made me mad when I got half way through this book and realized that there was another one to come after this and this one was left on a cliffhanger. It's hard telling when the next one will come out. I think if they are left on this big of a cliffhanger then they should publish all books at once. I don't know if I'll read the last one. Really mad.
