Publisher's Summary

Zoe Jabril needs to devise a kick-ass plan to save the world ASAP. Otherwise, Armageddon starts the day she turns 18 - and if that happens, everything is going to hell. Literally.
She could be any other 17-year-old attending parties and checking out cute guys - except she discovers her best friend is a Guardian Angel and the boy she crushes on is a Nephilim, both sent to protect her from the demons who want her dead.
Now Zoe has to deal with growing feelings toward the Nephilim, who spreads a strange electrical current through her body every time he touches her. And she's under constant attack from Demons trying to stop her from fulfilling the Prophecy: A girl will be born who will unite Angels, Nephilim, Fairies, and Werewolves to battle evil. Then she has to control her newly found talents if she's to prevent the devil from escaping hell.

Fun YA series that I'll be following!

I had a hard time getting into this book, but it finally picked up for me after 3-4 chapters and then I couldn't stop listening. It's a fun YA novel full of magic, action, fairies, angels, werewolves, demons, etc. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next book in the series. In fact, I already checked on audible for other books by this author, and though the next in this series isn't out, there are a few other novels, one about one of the angels and 2 about the fairies in this book, that I plan on listening to while waiting for the next in this series.
The narration was okay, a bit stilted and choppy at times. I sped it up to x1.25 and it was better, but still a little off. I think it's one of the reasons it took me a minute to get into the story; however, once I did get into it and changed the speed, the narration didn't bother me as much. I received a review copy at my request and voluntarily reviewed.

OK

Any additional comments?

This is what I would call a typical YA book. It had all the ingredients of what I would expect in there: love triangle (which I hate!), teen angst, prophecy, the female teen didn't know about her background, guardian who falls in love with her, school, she has to save the world, training, etc.
There is nothing wrong with this but I tend to find this to be over used and at times boring because it is not original. This is not to say the book is bad but it is nothing either.

Others might like it a lot more then I did especially YA.

I thought the narrator was great, she voiced all the characters.
