Embrace your fate.

It's time.

Evil is running rampant, and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the Earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.

The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous - especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna's great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she's prepared to risk.

In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom.

Epic ending to an awesome series.

Oh the bitter-sweetness of the last book in a series, and the things that happen in Sweet Reckoning make you smile, swoon, and have several "Oh my Gawd" moments. Sweet Reckoning was definitely my favorite book out of the series. I loved where Wendy Higgins took the romance and relationship between Kaidan and Anna - it was downright hot. Didn't know my girl had it in her, but she does, and she ends up being a kick-butt heroine also. Kaidan had me totally swooning over him in this novel. I totally loved the person he became in this book. He wound up being quite the hero. All of the other secondary characters played big roles as well - Ginger and Marna - the twins, and their bittersweet finale. Then there is Jay, bless his heart, Patty, and of course my favorite of all, Blake. I still so wish Blake had his own book - I just loved him.

That said, the ending is epic and I thought Wendy Higgins concluded the series very well. She even provided an epilogue, which is something I love, and I totally loved this epilogue.

My Opinion: Fantastic series that young adult and adult fans of paranormal romance will love. Definitely buy it, you won't be disappointed.

great ending to a great series

Would you listen to Sweet Reckoning again? Why?

maybe, the narrator was incredibly annoying gasping after EVERY sentence.

How could the performance have been better?

she could've spoken normally like in the first two books

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

really sweet ending

Any additional comments?

This narrator was amazing for the first two books but in this one she gasps after every single sentence. It was very distracting.

Narration irritating, great story

Where does Sweet Reckoning rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of my favorites

What did you like best about this story?

Everything! Wrapped up everything nicely * sigh *

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Normally I like this narrator a lot, and most of her performance is amazing. But in this book, she gasps after each sentence. It is extremely irritating and distracting.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Many moments in this book moved me. Hard to pick just one...but the last scene was the most endearing.

Wonderfully Unique

Upon finishing the last book in a three-book series, I can't help but think such a unique plot needed more time to expand and explore the world of the Nephilim. Such a rich storyline and utterly flawless at keeping pace. The only qualm I have is staying safety-netted in the teen-young adult category despite its mature, very adult theme. The heroine's main overcoming of his substance abuse being the daughter of the demon of substance abuse. This gave the author an outstanding opportunity to take a delve into the meaning of addiction. Only drinking was exemplified many times throughout the three books, where a deeper dive into addiction could have been explored. Other than that, I I truly enjoyed it. Overall it was a wonderfully unique take on the battle of fighting our sins

Love this book, but...

Okay, this is a totally stupid thing to complain about and it makes me feel like a toddler, screaming because her brother is “breathing to loud” or whatever. I’ve listened to this book so many times and I always love it because it makes me emotional when other books wouldn’t. I always listen to books on at least x2 speed so when chapter one started again I thought it was the speed making her breathing SO UNNATURALLY LOUD! I even slowed it down to try and make it sound, ya know normal, but it’s like she’s using an inhaler after every sentence! I know this is a stupid thing to complain about and I have listened to the book several times so it’s only -1 in performance but Jesus. I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I guess I’ll try to continue the book tomorrow.

Out of breath Narrator

Narrator voice sounds like she was out of breath and after each sentence she takes a deep breath. The story was good the narrator voice was distracting
