Fabulous story!!

I officially adore Chris Colfer. This is an amazing story that manages to invoke a range of emotions, ideas and feelings that I will probably be processing over the next couple of days. I've read most of Mr. Colfer's stories and there is a sincerity across all of them.

The story is dedicated to his best friend, who he says has better memory than him and will remember what of it actually happened - so of course, I found myself wondering how much of it was 'real' and came away with the feeling that, like all good stories, it had the ring of truth in every moment. It is empowering and affirming and deeply sad, like a kaleidoscope of the beautiful and tragic of life.

I hope he writes a lot more for years to come!

A story to remember and think about.

This book had me feeling different ways about these characters throughout the whole thing. I didn't think the under tones of Gay and Trans acceptance would be a huge part of the story but when I learned about the characters and lives they lived without anyone else knowing was fun and exciting. There are issues like passing was a bit odd at times and there are some times where a character is out of character but there small issues in an otherwise great story. One last mention the narrator was great (besides when a character cried that was off sounding.)
