Publisher's summary

With power comes enemies. Lots of them.

Hunter Garrity just wants to be left alone. He's learned the hard way that his unusual abilities come at a price. And he can't seem to afford any allies. He's up to his neck in hostiles - his grandfather, who's spoiling for a fight; the Merrick brothers, who think he ratted them out; and scheming psycho Calla, who wants to use him as bait. Then there's Kate Sullivan. She's the new girl at school. She's not hostile. She's bold. Funny. Hot. But she's got an agenda, too.

With supposedly secret powers rippling to the surface everywhere around him, Hunter knows something ugly is about to go down. But finding out what means he'll have to find someone he can trust.

Hunter

I’ve been reading the series and this is the first time that I’ve actually wrote a review of one of the books.

I actually liked Hunter. He was introduced in the first book and ended up being one of my favorite characters. So, I was glad he got his own story and we were able to get to know him better.

But the person that went over my heart was Michael. The camaraderie of the I’ve been reading the series and this is the first time that I’ve actually wrote a review of it.

But the person that won over my heart was Michael. The camaraderie of the brothers is so much like the brothers in the book, “The Outsiders.” I just love how Michael shows compassion and how he works so hard to support his brothers. He’s not that old himself, yet he sacrifices his needs to help the people he loves.

The ending was quite shocking and incredibly sad, but sometimes things in life does not turn out how we planned it. When that happens then it’s nice to be surrounded by people who truly care about you and will help you get through your grief. This book shows you that.
