A thrilling fantasy adventure with SKY PIRATES

I personally love fantasy. A fun world with unique plucky characters and royalty in hiding. Airship battles, swashbuckling knaves, and a good old fashion shoot out is what you have in store when you pick up Sky Song. Just a warning though this is not for the feint of heart, this book contains adventure!

The narrator does a range of voices that really bring the characters to life. I found myself laughing out loud in public while I was listening on headphones. The pirates are hilarious with their perverted banter.

With some audiobooks, I find fault in the pacing of the actor, but this reader had a nice pace, good comedic timing and consistent voices for each character. (Loved the voice for Jasper especially). I appreciated her consistency with volume as well as the high quality of the recording, which I honestly did not expect from an indie author.

This book surprised me in a number of ways. There are so many beautiful passages of prose interwoven with comedic interludes and nail biting suspense. I wish more people knew about this.

Any additional comments?

A plot twist revealed early in the story progresses to a surprise ending, setting up the next book of the series without an annoying, unsatisfying cliffhanger. This book is suitable for readers of all ages and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audiobook.
