This book is a true fairy tale delight. It has great narration and a good story with, mystery, and romance. It grabbed my attention from the start and couldn't wait to find out how it ends. So glad there are more books in this series. It is a clean read so it is suitable for all ages, especially the young at heart

Clean Teen Mystery/Romance
I really enjoyed this clean teen mystery/romance and believe that listeners of all ages will also. Anika and Prince Valdemar were very likeable characters and the story had enough plot twists to keep me guessing. A fun story, mystery and romance all came together nicely, with everything resolved at the end. Cecily White as narrator was excellent and added to my enjoyment. I would recommend Royally Entitled: Brides of Brevalia, Book 1.

I love it!!!
The cover was the first thing that attracted me to the book. I then read the description, which I thought was interesting. Once I started listening to the audio book I was so glad that I did. I have to say that I love it!!
I thought I knew what to expect but the author surprised me. I was not expecting the mystery which took me a while to fugure out who did it. There was suspense, romance and mystery.
My only negative is the love interest Prince Valdemar who really frustrated me at times. I wanted him to have more of a backbone. Unlike Anika who tried, really hard to help her family and friend and she tried to solve who was behind the problems. I actually really liked her.
Religion is part of the story but it doesn't take over the book, it suited the time period and it gave the characters, in my opinion, some realism. They struggled with what is happening and this in turn made them struggle with there belief. It was an interesting read on the human side of things, which I think the author did really well.
I liked the narrator, I thought she gave the characters there own voice. I could distingush between them without being told who they were. I would be more then happy to listen to her other narration.

A Unique Historical Christian Suspense Romance
This story is quite unlike most of the books in this genre. Anika's family exists on the fringes of high society because of her father's successful cider business and her mother's high-society background. But Anika would never be considered princess material. It isn't just because of her station but because of her decidedly unladylike pursuits and her unfashionable endeavours. She can shoot a crossbow, strategise with the best of them and straddle the line between merchant class and high society.
A string of crimes threatens the livelihoods of Anika's family and those of her friends. Coupled with political unrest, modernisation, and an unlikely friendship with and an attraction to Crown Prince Valdemar, Anika suddenly finds herself the centre of attention while in the midst of solving a mystery. But Anika is no fading wallflower. She unapologetically brings her strong feminist attributes and her equally strong Christian faith to the table to help her friends, the queen and her country find their way through the mystery.
Melody Delgado has drawn on interesting and sometimes contradictory elements to piece together this story. The result is quite unique, definitely interesting and overall enjoyable.
