Publisher's summary

The pieces of Roya's life don't fit together anymore. Nothing makes sense. Joseph could be to blame for the fall of the Lucidites' society. Zhuang is back and more powerful than ever. Chase, a gorgeous psychopath, is demanding her love and commitment. And the institute is swarming with lies, betrayals, and conflicts. Roya knows she needs to focus and reconnect with Joseph if she is to survive, but how can she find clarity when everything around her is unraveling? The final chapter in The Lucidites series will take up residence in the listener's bones. All secrets will be revealed. All villains will be confronted. And the greatest obstacles will be that of the heart. Revived delivers, giving audiences what they want most from the last in a fast-paced, thrilling series.

Amazing end to the series

The last book in the Lucidite series is an amazing story. So much happens in this book I really don't know where to start, except to say that you should read it (read books one and two in the trilogy first though or it won't have the same impact). The story has some great twists and turns; it shocks you, has you laughing and then crying (yes, once again Sarah's descriptive writing managed to reduce me to tears). The authors captivating writing and the great narration takes you on an action packed emotional roller coaster that's thought provoking, full of surprises, poignant and funny. Roya's turmoil, sorrow, fears and hopes come through loud and clear in both the writing and the narration. You can still see the defiant teenager in her, but more and more as the book progresses her maturity, love and strength shows through. Joseph is a complex character, humorous, warm but also conflicted, with an underlying want and insecurity that colours his actions. I loved their humorous interactions, loyalty and sibling like squabbles. Where George and Aiden, (Roya's two love interests) are concerned, I alternately wanted to hug them and give them a good shake, both were infuriating but appealing. Ren, as in all the previous books, is totally intriguing, a little more of his life is revealed in this book and it definitely makes you want to read his story; I just love his abrasive character. Chase, the psychopathic mind controlling voyager that wants Roya as his love slave, is one creepy, scary dude. It's impossible to go through all of the characters, but it says something about the authors writing when you find that you are so invested in the various people that you want to rave about all of them. At various points my heart broke for many of the characters in this story but in the end the author managed to glue it back together and make it whole again. The storyline itself was fascinating, the author wove a complex tale that drew you in and led you on an exciting, touching journey that had a satisfying and complete end. I can not wait to read or listen to her other books. I received this audiobook from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Epic Conclusion!!

My experience with this book is based on the audio book.

First I'm going to talk about the narrator. Her voice is absolutely perfect for Roya. She provides the appropriate amount of snark and attitude that Roya deserves. There is passion behind her words and they flow so nicely. I've really enjoyed listening to this narrator it has been the fifth book I have listened to from her and plan on listening to more.

This book is the epic conclusion of the Lucidites series. It has been a roller coaster of emotions for me. I have enjoyed all the characters good and bad. They have left a sprinkle of magic and love in my heart. My favorite character is Roya. Her struggle and growth in the series has been raw and realistic. She has struggled with emotions that I can really relate to. I love her attitude and her spunk. She puts everyone else in front of her and it is a quality to admire. My comic relief was Joseph. He had me laughing so hard that I snorted a couple of times. His charm and class are not compared to any character I have read.

My favorite part of this book was the moment Roya had in the past with Trey. It reached me on such a deeper level than I thought possible. It is a very similar conversation that I had with my own father just a month ago. Noffke really got the feelings correct because I understood Roya and was touched by this moment. It is probably my favorite scene out of any book I have read.

Now I must say goodbye to a few of my favorites since it is the end of the series. Please forgive me if I ramble because I'm having a hard time letting go.

Goodbye Roya. You are such a strong young lady and I have enjoyed watching you grow in to a woman. Your courage and strength can never be out shined by anyone.
Goodbye Joseph. You are my funny guy. You have the charm and charisma of a perfect southern gentleman and anyone is lucky to have you.
Goodbye Trey. I understood your point of view probably more than anyone. I admire you and am glad you could overcome some things. I will remember you and your struggle.
Goodbye Aidan. I have been team Aidan since the beginning. You have your smarts and will go far in life. I miss you and your music terribly.
Goodbye Alloutte. You are a sultry vixen. Even though you were bad I loved your character. You hooked me and any woman that can make Ren scared is a wonderful woman in my book.
Finally Goodbye Chase. You were evil but oh so dreamy. I will continue to swoon over you for nights to come. I guess I'm not saying goodbye because I will see you in my dreams tonight.

LOVED IT!!! GREAT ENDING TO A GOOD SERIES!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Revived to be better than the print version?

I love audio...for me it is the only way to go!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Revived?

When Roya goes and visits Trey in the true beginning of it all.

What about Elizabeth Klett’s performance did you like?

She was good...she really grew on me...I couldn't imagine this story being told by anyone else!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I think these books would translate to the big screen well, if they didn't ruin them with rewrites! lol

Any additional comments?

** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **

It feels like forever ago now, that I listened to book 1...and discovered my angsty little Roya...It took me a bit to bond with this character...but I am so glad I stuck with her, because I now love her and Joseph...and all the other dreamers so much....this book was my fave of the series...it was powerful, and Roya was strong...and it had a beautiful happy ending..This society of dream travelers really protect the human race, they are kind of like super heroes...Roya finally takes out Zhuang...and also another big baddie...but practically traumatizes herself irreversibly in the process...she has guts and I am so glad she finally accepted Trey and got her HEA!!! I really enjoyed this series...and highly recommend!!

Plots and secrets

Great conclusion to the trilogy. Narrator did an excellent job. Bad guys motivation revealed, hopes for the future derailed, and the painful process of growing up and realizing no decision is as easy as black and white. Fangtastic Finale!

Revived is the third and final book in the Lucidites Series, and it closes with a bang! In the end of book 2, Joseph and Roya find out that Trey, the head of the institute is their father. If you have been following along with me in this series, you damn well know how Roya reacted to that news! Man was she pissed!! The news was basically forced out of Trey when he learned that Joseph had helped awaken Zhuang thinking he was his father. What a way to end one book, and start another, right! With this new development of Zhuang's return, and Chase still hunting Roya, AND George and Aiden fighting for Roya's love what is a girl to do? I for one was glued like white on rice to find out!

Good Lord where do I begin?! Ok Joseph it is...The story of how Zhuang returns is kept on the down low from everyone because no one wants to have Joseph get stoned by his peers. I also had a WTF moment when a secret I didn't know was a secret that existed was revealed about Joseph! This book is full of secrets revealed that will blow your mind! Joseph is very open to Trey and tries to build a relationship with him, and he starts news reporting with Roya. I had forgotten how funny Joseph is! He tells Roya like it is, and it's just hilarious how it comes out. I was laughing out loud at Roya's expense quite a bit. Moving on to Roya, she's in love with Aiden, but Aiden can't have an open relationship with her because it will jeopardize his job, but he loves her as well. This is the back and forth dance they keep doing through out all three books. In between the “we are broken up” moments, Roya grows closer each time with George, the empath that is in love with her. That whole thing is messed up. I mean I know she does have feelings for George but we all know, including Roya that Aiden is THE ONE! Now with Trey, Roya is in constant battle with him. He comes off cold and uncaring, that is what upsets her the most about him. He never tells them the whole story about things, and he dictates things to her, and she does not like that AT ALL! Roya has no desire to build a father/daughter relationship with Trey EVER! Chase is still following her in her dreams, even with other people dream walking with her. Chase is determined to have Roya but she doesn't know why, but Trey does... Then there is the whole WTF moment with Ren! As the story unfolds about Roya's mother, Trey sends the twins to Ren where he blows them away with his part of the story. WOW, but it still doesn't explain why he's such a nasty ginger to everyone! These are the highlights that I enjoyed that I could share with you, now onto the ones I can't! LOL!

The showdown with Zhuang is pretty epic. He does some seriously messed up stuff while trying to find the twins and kill them. Chase on the other hand is trying to make Roya his, and not in a good way! Battle stations ready cause we're going in! This moment in the story was a lock yourself in a quiet room, with a do not disturb or die sign on it, and don't even think of leaving til this is over once and for all! Holy spit fire! Merry Christmas! One last thing, the epilogue, HALLELJUIA FOR THE EPILOGUE!!! I have never been so happy in my life for an epilogue in a book!! I can't say I'm happy the Trilogy is over, but I am happy for the way it has ended, and my tears felt fully justified. The Lucidites Trilogy is at the top of my Christmas gift giving list, and a must read, re-read, and forever keep on the shelf kinda set! Don't just one click this set of books, have a marathon of clicks and share the greatness!

Narrator Review

Elizabeth Klett reprises her role as the voice of Roya Stark. Well, I should say the story teller of... Elizabeth is such a wonderful narrator. She is such a perfect fit for Roya, and does a hilarious snarky Joseph, and sarcastic nasty Ren, that make this whole audible experience so great. If you think you don't like audio books, then just listen to the sample Audible.com provides for this book and then tell me you don't like audio books! I feel like I have developed a bond with Roya through Elizabeth's amazing narration. The sound quality is very professional, and the spot-on reactions, emotions, and expressions Elizabeth delivers for each character was so life like it was scary. Elizabeth scores a 5 Star Rating from me for an outstanding performance!
