I listened to this all day today. I then backed it up enough to go to sleep with timer.

Surprisingly kept me interested till the end!

Usually I get bored if a story goes more into 2 or 3 books but I seriously loved and kept interested all through the 2nd book. First of all I grew to love all Sarah's friends whether human or not so from the 1st book I was hooked. Yes, there is romance but not heavy, some cussing and a little violence but not gory.....so far. I'm listening to this series through Audible. Narrator is pretty good and does a decent job with accents. Sometimes her voices for the men are hard to tell apart but at least it tells you who it is. Personally, I wish it had a heavier romance but what the author did fit perfectly. We'll see what book 3 has in store. Hopefully more of Remy and her friends throughout.

thoroughly enjoyed this book. the narrator is a bit monotonous, but it is not off putting. I love the addition of creatures "pets"

Very familiar but good!

Love this one...whereas the first book has full of too many similarities to Vampire Academy and Twilight, this one deviated just enough to finally start taking on a life of its own. I'm excited for the next one!

Good Listen

Book 2 of series was well done. Fast paced, loads of action and still PG-13 on the romance side. The characters are strong, the dialogue isn't too high school. Overall a good book in a decent series so far.

Every single time I reread I forget how much I love this book. Now, this is a YA, so Sara will do some things that make you want to scream at her, but she is only 17. We were all idiots at 17. After the events that happened in the last book, Sara has moved to Westhorne, a Mohiri stronghold in Idaho. Far away from her friends and family Sara has to work on creating new relationships, something she was never great at. I love how Sara and Jordan become friends, Jordan is my favorite of the side characters, and don't worry, she gets her own story which is phenomenal.

I also love the development of Sara and Nikolas' relationship. Those two are absolutely adorable, especially from Sara's side of the story.

This book is a wonderful & the voice actor does amazing at bringing Sara to life.

Just Keeps Getting Better & Better

This trilogy just keeps getting better and better! I loved the new characters and the twist in direction the author has taken in comparison to the first book. The meshing of the existing characters with the Mohiri introduces a new dynamic that adds more humor to an already tense situation. I think I enjoyed "Refuge" even more than "Relentless". This author brings the story to life with her words. She is detailed without being "too wordy" and making you want to skip sections to get to the good stuff. This book is incredibly suspenseful however and will have you fighting the desire to peek ahead to see what is going to happen. If you enjoy the paranormal, suspense, and romance this book is for you. It is a permanent part of my collection!
