Awesome

This is an awesome book for the kids. The narration is fabulous. She brings the characters to life with the different tones. This book would make a great family time or just getting the kids to relax for a little while.

A great story

This was such a great story. A great one to read to your grandkids. Tommy sees something strange. He gets Evie and they go investigate. They had already been escorted off the grounds once. They got to the strange tree & sure enough they ended up becoming trapped. They had some clues so they put their heads together to find a way out. Their journey involved hidden dangers & puzzles. They wondered if they would ever make it out. Loved the characters.

where's the rest of the story???

This is almost like only the middle of a great epic adventure.... like all the breathing space in a story was cut out...???

When two kids help out things turn strange

This was a fun mini adventure full of riddles and quests. Definitely a fun listen with main characters that don't always succeed on their first tries.

Middle Grade Escape Room Like Fantasy

This was a quick read at just under 3 1/2 hours. I listened to this with my 11 and 15 year old sons and we all really enjoyed it. The story is clean enough for any age but I would say 3rd-4th grade and up. These two friends go and investigate a tree that had attacked their classmate to prove to the rest of the class he wasn't lying. They get too close and find themselves trapped underground and have to find their way out. It quickly becomes clear that they have to solve puzzles and riddles to advance through and so the adventure begins. There are fantasy creatures, magic and plenty of thrills.

Narrator was ok a solid 3🌟, had a pleasant voice, and did a good job with the acting, but the differentiation between characters wasn't really there.
