Publisher's Summary

At last, Alanna of Trebond has become the first female knight errant in Tortall. She sets out on an impossible quest to find the Dominion Jewel, a legendary gem that, in the right hands, has limitless power for good. But while she searches for the one thing that can save her war-torn country, her nemesis returns from the dead and begins to wreak havoc. Only Alanna has the power to prevent Tortall's utter destruction. In this final verse of the Song of the Lioness quartet, Alanna grows from heroine into legend.

Critic Reviews

"The production...smoothly weaves dramatic reading and Pierce's outstanding fantasy. Alvarado's even pacing perfectly matches the crisp tone of the book, which reads and feels like great historical fiction. Her performance will have listeners believing that Tortall really existed....A thoroughly enjoyable listening experience." (School Library Journal)

OK! Now what?

Well you have made it through this most excellent series, and you need to know what book to go get and read next. The answer is simple! Trickster's Choice followed by Tricksters Queen. Those two books are both set in this same Authorverse, and the same reader too.

Great story, difficult to understand narrator

The narrator was slurred, she sounded drunk. Alanna was read as a very weak character.
