Awesome!! Read It!!

The beginning totally blew me away! This is an amazing start to the series. In this book, the mighty titans and great eagles have returned from the ancient past to help thwart the darkness. Noman, the mysterious keeper of the City of the Sky, has seen the signs and knows now is the time to act and he sets about gathering those who can stop the darkness. Meanwihle, Prince Valam Alder returns to his beloved southlands. His company has a strange encounter with a trickster named Eldrick. This book is so cool I've listened to it twice in one week!! It is a great book. The time starts flying, flying right from the start. If you like scifi/fantasy like I do you will love this book too. The best book for any Eragon, Harry Potter, or Lord of the Rings fan to read!! It's not Tolkien, but it is very good!!

Spellbinding!

Discovering Robert Stanek first through the text version of the Kingdoms and the Elves, I was instantly hooked onto the series.
When I discovered that there were audio versions of his books after finishing the fourth kingdoms book, I instantly knew I had to listen to an audio version of his sequel series, the first book of which is this one, In the Service of Dragons.
The audio performance is great, as is the story, and it will keep you entertained the whole way through. Definetly worth your buy, although if your new to the series you'll want to start with The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches book 1.
