Amazing!!

When my mom first told me to listen to this book i thouht, this is going to be another boring adult book. So i postponed reading it until i had read everything else. That turned out to be a huge mistake, because after reading this book i went ammidiatly to audible to find out if she had written anythin else.

This book contains everything you could want in a book, mystery, romance, action, suspense, and family. It is written so well you feel connected to Lucy and her feelings in a way you dont with other books. And as for the reader i think she was just perfect. She had to read for a boy as well and she did an amazing job. I hope she read more books so i can buy them as well.

Great Book (Only for Older readers 17+)

I read this book when I was in highschool and have reread it many times since. It hits all the major points of interest mystery, magic, drama, and romance. I ended up feeling sad, happy, hopeful, loved, pain, and so many more emotions. The story is very immersive. Whenever I listen to the book again the story's song stays stuck in my head for days after. It's a good book but many major topics are covered and the book is definitely not stable for all readers I'd say 17+.

Incredibly Underwhelming

I remember reading this book when I was younger and in high school. I don't recall finishing it, but the premise always intrigued me. I kept this book in the back of my mind for years always meaning to go back and finish it. I added this one to my wish list and one day decided to try it again. The premise is still intriguing: an ancient family curse revolving around a creepy poem!? Sign me up! However, I was so disappointed when I actually sat down and read it all theses years later. My first problem is the narrator. She was not a great choice for this. There are so many serious topics brought up such as rape and sex. She read this book in such a cutesy girlish tone I couldn't take her seriously. She made the main character Lucy sound so immature.
My second issue is with the heroine. I like a real three dimensional protagonist with strengths and weaknesses. This girl was so one note it drove me crazy. Same with Zach too. There was little to no conflict between them and their relationship.
My last issue is the writing style itself. Like I said before, I actually found the story and premise interesting. I would still even argue that this would possibly make an interesting movie. The writing in this book fell flat. Maybe I have been spoiled for too long with great writers and my standard has become so high.... but still. This may be a "young adult/teen" book, but c'mon. Teens CAN actually READ so you don't have to oversimplify EVERYTHING with your writing. Give me something challenging and daring.

Give it a chance

What disappointed you about Impossible?

I don't believe the story was a bad story it just was not my genre or the way that I like a love story to play out it was definitely not for me.

What do you think your next listen will be?

After I read this I definitely went back to my conference zone of happy ever after love story with those hot steamy scenes. It was definitely a from start to finish just about love.

Which scene was your favorite?

I always try to find a bright side of things and I guess I would say it would be where she was determined to not have history follow her.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Impossible?

I always try to find a bright side of things and I guess I would say it would be where she was determined to not have history follow her. I would say maybe a little more explaining or backstory and more and maybe would've been a little bit more understanding but if I found myself confused re-reading a lot taking notes and I wasn't alone with the same thoughts

Any additional comments?

I will give this author another shake it just may have been the book was not my genre or my type of romance novel but we'll see what the next book :)

Beautiful, modern fairy tale

I relished listening to his tale from start to finish. For me, there was the perfect balance of conflict, but it wasn't too stressful a listen. The story arc was relatively straightforward, but there wasn't a sense of plodding or page filler. The story flowed well. Even though the conclusion could be guessed pretty easily, it was still a bit of a nail biter till the plot-climax. As a reader/listener, I felt invested in the characters, and that they were real and three-dimensional. Definitely getting the sequel.
