Publisher's summary

What began as one boy's adventure will now end in blood. With Jaevid Broadfeather forever lost to the depths of Luntharda, Felix Farrow struggles to stand on his own. He begins a violent downward spiral which causes him to abandon his post as a dragonrider, hiding in the halls of his family estate. His one hope for redemption lies within the heart of someone from his past - and the very last person he ever wanted to see again. And now the time has finally come. Hovrid, who has ruled Maldobar as a tyrannical imposter, is preparing to make a decisive assault against Luntharda that will destroy what remains of the elven race. Only Jaevid, Felix, and their trusted friends are able to stand in his way. They have only one chance to end the war, and only one hope to absolve the curse that threatens to destroy their world.

My first experience with audio books.

I have been an avid reader all my life. Somehow I just didn't think anything or anyone could bring a story to life the way myself and my own imagination could. WOW! I am her to tell you I was quite simply,
As wrong about that as I could be. This aeries and the way Jesse reads it
Completely dropped me INTO the story as if I were there!!
I remember at the 2nd book thinking OMG I've ruined my book reading ability. I'm never going to enjoy reading again. I want it read to me!
So, I'm going to go read a book now but its just not going to be as good.
So thanks guys :-( and also Thanks guys :-) ,For a truly great service you have. I really enjoy the way you present your stories to the world.
My only concern. And I don't know if I'm right. Is $15.00 a month
Then I have to pay between 10 and 20 more dollars for each book.
I'm sorry, I go through books at an alarming rate and those prices will
Ensure that I can't read more than a few books a month. And I can't have that. So in short I loved thee experience.. Thank you for the free trial and credits. But it just to expensive for me to read as !much! as I am used to. Maybe I'm missing something. Am I wrong or does this feel pricey guys??
I'd love feedback or a response from audibles management team if there is a way to read say 8 to 10 books a month w/o having to eat Ramon noodles every day :-).
Thanks and I do love your service!!! But I drive a Ford not a Mercedes.

Duane Warren.

my family loved every minute of The Dragonrider Chronicles. We are all hoping that Conway will continue the story moving forward.

Confusion with Love!

What did you love best about Immortal?

Although I was confused at the beginning about the POV change, I loved how Nicole branched out to the secondary characters from the first three books in the series and made it their story. Yet, she still kept the story wove around Jaevid.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It was still Jaevid, because I'd already fallen in love with him from the first three books

Which character – as performed by Jesse Einstein – was your favorite?

This is a tough question to answer because I'd already fallen in love with Jaevid from the firt three books in the series. And, I can say I'd grown fond of Felix during those three books because of his loyalty to Jaevid. But 2/3 of Immortal is from Felix, so I couldn't help but move from fond to being in love with Felix. So sorry, I guess I have two favorites.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Oh boy did I have an extreme reaction! First, I was confused about the POV change and was screaming "where's my Jaevid!". Then I was like, "Okay, but this is Felix's POV and I like him, so I'll keep listening." And then boom! I cried like a baby in the first chapter and she had me hooked. Seriously, how can I cry when I knew Jaevid wasn't dead? But Felix didn't know and she had my heart breaking.

Any additional comments?

Jesse Einstein help this novel come to life for me. And even though I was confused about the POV change, this was still well worth the listen. In fact, if you haven't read the previous books in the serious. DO IT NOW! Best series I've listened to in a while.

Series dies slowly.

Wasn’t going to read this but wanted to finish the series since it only had one book left. While Felix is a great side character, I didn’t like how the author used him to finish the book. Why at the last moment did she use him as the main POV when the first three books were from Javid. The first three hours of this book were of Felix spiraling downward and just being a cad from his grief. Javid has a bit of a POV in the middle, but then it goes back to Felix for an anticlimactic ending. The author should have just ended the series in the last book. Overall, not a bad series, although the ending sucks. The first book was great, but the series started to spiral downward as it progressed. Luckily, I ended up buying the whole series for around $12. Narrator was good but I did end up double timing the speed only so I could finish the book.

3.25 Stars 🌟

This was the final book in this initial series and I have to admit that I went through this series without stopping. I was extremely eager to get to this book to find out how everything ended up. In the end, this book was okay. Until I finished the book and took a moment to think about things more closely.

Let me start with this. This book is different from the first three books in the series in the fact that most of this book is told from Felix's POV. It also goes back in time and lets the reader see what was happening in Felix's life when Jae was lost in the forest. That was okay. I didn't mind getting the other POV. It then switches to the present timeline that book 3 leaves off at. Here is where I began to have issues.

Maybe it is that I went through the books so quickly and was just invested in the story. I didn't have time to then think about the book I read because I immediately started on the next book. I'm not sure. But, when I was reading/listening to this book, things began to take me out of the story. Without going into spoilers, certain actions and reactions just didn't make complete sense. I mean, the whole battle plan (there was 24 hours of notice and planning), then the climax was...well.... very anti-climatic. Then the ending....it felt rushed and honestly, just not very realistic.

But, it wasn't until I was finished that I began to realize all of the plot holes and man oh man were there a ton of them.

So, in the grand scheme of things I really enjoyed this series. I really liked the character development of many of the characters, especially Jae, Felix and Jace. I may not have liked the last book as much, but it was worth it to invest the time in the series.
