Publisher's summary

Straight out of the psych ward, Cora just wants her life to be normal. She doesn't want to see souls or the reapers collecting them. The guy she's loved from a distance for years moves away without saying good-bye. So yes, she's nursing a serious heartbreak. It's no wonder love is the last thing on her mind when Echo storms into her life. The chemistry between them is mind blowing. The connection defies logic. Even better, the souls leave her alone when he is around. Too bad Echo is the poster boy for everything she hates in a guy - hot, beautiful, and cocky. He is also a soul reaper. A Grimnir. One of the very beings she wants out of her life. Maybe normal is overrated because Cora wants it all. Answers. Love. A life.

A great audiobook in an excellent series.

A great audiobook in an excellent series. The narrator brings the characters to life and the intense chemistry between Cora and Echo comes across loud and clear in this audiobook. Told mainly from Cora's (Raine's BFF) POV, the story concentrates predominantly on her character's development. It adds depth to the world the author is creating and still has enough plot to continue moving the main story forward. The narrator manages to capture the emotions and humour of the various characters, portraying excellently their individual personalities and attitudes. You cannot help but be drawn along with Cora as she falls for that sexy bad boy Echo, feel Eirik's hurt and Echo's frustration and vulnerability as he in turn falls for Cora. Ednah's great story line keeps you listening as Cora learns to cope with seeing souls, being hunted, loosing friends and finding love. I received this audiobook from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Great story... Maybe too much intimacy

So I loved the books about Raine and Torin and I loved the story about Cora but honestly but the love scenes were a bit much. Call me a prude but I wouldn't want my teen boys reading it

Amazing and Exceptional

Where does Grimnirs rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The audio books that I have listened I would rank Grimnirs number 1.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Grimnirs?

I believe the most memorable moment in Grimnirs would be how Stephanie Terry reads each character and the tone in her voice.

What about Stephanie Terry’s performance did you like?

Stephanie Terry really knows how to keep an audience listening and wanting more. She went through the emotional, anger, and happy parts with such enthusiasm.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This was a book that if I could just keep listening too.

Any additional comments?

Grimnirs is one of my favorite books in the Runes series and now that it is going audio I absolutely love being able to read from paperback book to listening to it while you are in the car. Stephanie Terry kept you wanting to listen to all of it. I would love to say thank you to Stephanie Terry and Ednah Walters. The Runes series is amazing any way you read it.

wow...you got to hear this amazing story

Would you listen to Grimnirs again? Why?

I would absolutely listen to it again. The books is amazing and the narrator did a fabulous job with the character voices. Its so worth hearing the story read.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All of the characters are awesome. My favorites are Torin and Echo. How can you resist such hot guys that would do anything for the ones they love.

Which character – as performed by Stephanie Terry – was your favorite?

Stephanie did an amazing job on all of the characters. Her accents really came out for each of her characters and none were the same. Its not often that a female can put out the male voices as well but she did a great job of it.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

What would you do for a love that could transcends time, no matter what your flaws are!!

Any additional comments?

If you have not read this book you really need to or better yet listen to it. You won't regret it

The Grim Reaper you want to meet

Thank you once again Edna Walters for a fascinating view of Helheim through "Grimnirs". Echo is my new favorite character in the Runes series. His persona at the first meeting is narcissistic and obnoxious, but after he let's his guard down and the reader gets to see him with his selflessness and weaknesses, you just want to hug his sorrows away. Besides the fact he's muscular and gorgeous.

Cora better hope he's being truthful or she's going to be heartbroken. Love the new developments in Cora's life and look forward to learning more about her future as an immortal.

Once again, Stephanie Terry brings this story to life brilliantly!

Better Voice for Cora, No Accent for Ingrid

Would you consider the audio edition of Grimnirs to be better than the print version?

It is difficult to say which is better, but I believe it is the print version that I prefer.

What other book might you compare Grimnirs to and why?

Rogue, by Karen Lynch. Sarah has gifts that no one else could have. She is strong, and determined. She can feel runic magic, and is trying to fit into a world she never knew about. This is very similar to Cora's experience.

Have you listened to any of Stephanie Terry’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to four books in this series, all of which were narrated by Stephanie Terry. The voice that she gives to Cora, in the books told by Raine, is very annoying. However, the book told in Cora's voice is very agreeable. The only problem with THAT book is that Ingrid isn't given an accent.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I really had no extreme reaction to this book. It was enjoyable to listen to, but nothing extreme.

quite enjoyable

I like to find more than one series and read it in tandem with another great series. Thanks to quality writing and believable narration, I am a true follower of this series. I am truly grateful to the ladies ( characters and natural reading) for keeping my interest through the long drive to the in-laws.
