Publisher's summary

It’s another awful year at Bathory High for Vladimir Tod. Joss, a professional vampire slayer and Vlad’s former friend, has moved back to town. The powerful vampire Dorian has an overwhelming desire to drink Vlad’s blood. And his archenemy, D’Ablo, has brought Vlad’s Uncle Otis to trial for crimes against vampires. So much for dating. When the tables turn on Vlad, he has just enough time to return to Bathory for his final good-byes.

It's like a vampire Harry Potter but much better. Vladimir Tod is a beast!

Best First Audio Book

Well performed especially Otis and Joss. I currently have a concussion and am only allowed to read books I'm familiar with in audio form so I chose my favorite book series. I am so happy it was well done and well performed and would like to buy the rest of the series (even though I prefer reading!!!)

What Happened?

My family has loved listening to Heather Brewer's series on the way to and from school, but this book is lacking. This book takes Vlad from a coming of age vampire and turns him into an overly sensitive whimp. He laments over everything repeatidly. There were times when the pace picked up and we thought the story was on the mend, but it just wasn't in league with the others. The ending will have us listening to the last book just to see the series through, but not right away.
