Publisher's summary

Liv has been dealing with a lot lately. She and her family have just moved in with her mother's new boyfriend in London, and she's starting over (again) at a new school. But Liv isn't sure that explains her dreams, which have gone from odd to...well, bizarre. Lately her nighttime hours have been filled with talking stone statues, mysterious corridors, and creepy rituals conducted by four boys in a graveyard. The strangest part is that Liv recognizes the boys. They're classmates from her new school, and they seem to know things about her that they couldn't possibly know...unless they actually are in her dreams. Luckily Liv never could resist a good mystery, and all four of those boys are pretty cute....

loved the ruby red trilogy but this fell flat

What did you like best about Dream a Little Dream? What did you like least?

the range of characters was too limited and weakly developed.

If you’ve listened to books by Kerstin Gier before, how does this one compare?

this is weak compared to the ruby red trilogy although it begs to be compared to it.i am happy that i purchased the ruby red trilogy but i won't buy another book in this series.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Marisa Calin?

yes

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

no

Disliked the narrator.

When will I learn to listen to the FULL audio sample before buying? I wanted to like this.. But I just didn't. The story is OK.. Slow. I really dislike the narrators voice. It probably impacted how I perceived the story as well. Will not try another book from this author.

Great listen

I love Gier's sense of humor and, now that I have listened to everything by her that Audible has, I really hope they translate more of her stuff! I want more books!

The narrator has a great range of voices, plus just sounds great in general. The story seemed a little weak in a few places, but mostly explains all that away. It's a fun adventure and a great exploration into the mindset of siblings who grew up traveling around.

Loved it!

I simply love Kerstin Giers writing! And this was no exception :) I hope they translate more of her books. Marissa Calin does a wonderful job at narrating and I like the nuances she brings to the story. If you loved the Ruby Red series this is a must read/listen!

Best half way through book

First few chapters were rough to get through & un-necessary swearing took away from story.

Fun & So Imaginative

What made the experience of listening to Dream a Little Dream the most enjoyable?

I love Kerstin Gier's imagination... Without giving too much away, this story is about a group of high school age kids that get pulled into each other's dreams by them trying to bring a demon back during a bored moment on Halloween. Completely sounds like something stupid a group of bored high school kids would do as a joke... but when it turns into more then a joke the whole thing goes more sinister. There is a lot of humor, mystery and suspense. This is the first book in a series of three and you'll definitely want book two and three and they are all worth it! The narration by Marisa Calin is absolutely perfect, I loved listening to her accent in the narrating, character voices, and her wonderful acting skills and inflections just made it even more entertaining. These books would make a great set of movies!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed out loud several times throughout the story. Liv and Mia have such fun and open personalities that they say what they think without the filter that many people seem to have, and it causes awkward and funny moments.
