Publisher's summary

From the author of Words in the Dust: an actionpacked YA novel set in a frighteningly plausible near future, about what happens when the States are no longer United.

Danny Wright never thought he'd be the man to bring down the United States of America. In fact, he enrolled in the National Guard because he wanted to serve his country the way his father did. When the Guard is called up on the governor's orders to police a protest in Boise, it seems like a routine crowdcontrol mission... but then Danny's gun misfires, spooking the other soldiers and the already fractious crowd. By the time the smoke clears, 12 people are dead. The president wants the soldiers arrested. The governor swears to protect them. And as tensions build on both sides, the conflict slowly escalates toward the unthinkable: a second American civil war.

With political questions that are popular in American culture yet rare in YA fiction, and a plot that's both excitingly provocative and frighteningly plausible, Divided We Fall will be Trent Reedy's very timely YA debut.

The ultimate audiobook

The book divided we fall is the best audio production I have listened too. There are multiple readers portraying the different characters. Original music has been produced for this book The plots is pretty unique. The book does not resolve

Great book! Can't wait for book number 2!!

What did you love best about Divided We Fall?

So modern and up to date! Kept you at the edge of your seat the whole time!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Loved Jo Belle!! Down to earth but so up to date and liberal!

What does Andrew Eiden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Gives you the actual narrative! That helps so much in getting the whole drift of the book!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Part 1 of the EPIC story of what could happen!

Any additional comments?

Great book! B
ring on the sequels and the movie about it!

Amazing

This book is amazing I have read the paper version and the audio book takes the story to another level with its playing of songs and news reports it feels like your living the events.

written and narrative

I love how the characters were written and how it shows not everything is black and white. Hearing it with the narrator makes it feel like you are actually in the book living it.

I think it’s an important piece for young adults to read. I mean even “grown” adults should read it.

I think it’s an important piece for young adults to read. I mean even “grown” adults should read it. It is crazy to think this was written almost 10 years ago and rings a little too true to current events with how media and social media have interfered with daily lives and the dangers it causes. I mean the bloody chaos that is enacted due to sheer lack of reliable communication. I feel it’s very neutral too, showing the dangers of both ways of thinking.
