Publisher's Summary

From the world of Beautiful Creatures - a dangerous new tale of love and magic
Ridley Duchannes is nobody's heroine. She's a Dark Caster, a Siren. She can make you do things. Anything. You can't trust her, or yourself when she's around. And she'll be the first to tell you to stay away - especially if you're going to do something as stupid as fall in love with her.
Lucky for Ridley, her wannabe rocker boyfriend, Wesley "Link" Lincoln, never listens to anyone. Link doesn't care if Rid's no good for him, and he takes her along when he leaves small-town Gatlin to follow his rock-star dream. He teams up with a ragtag group of Dark Casters, and when the band scores a gig at a hot Underground club, it looks like all of Link's dreams are about to come true.
But New York City is a dangerous place for both Casters and Mortals, and soon Ridley realizes that Link's bandmates are keeping secrets. With bad-boy club owner Lennox Gates on her heels, Rid is determined to find out the truth. What she discovers is worse than she could have imagined: Link has a price on his head that no Caster or Mortal can ever pay. With their lives on the line, what's a Siren to do?
Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, the number-one New York Times best-selling coauthors of the Beautiful Creatures novels, are back to cast another magical spell. Their signature blend of mystery, suspense, and romance, with a healthy dose of wit and danger, will pull fans in and leave them begging for more.

Critic Reviews

"In the Gothic tradition of Anne Rice....Give this to fans of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight or HBO's True Blood series." Praise for the bestselling Beautiful Creatures novels:
"A hauntingly delicious dark fantasy.""The authors ground their Caster world in the concrete, skillfully juxtaposing the arcane, magical world with Gatlin's normal southern lifestyle....[Fans will] plead for more." "Gorgeously crafted, atmospheric, and original." "A lush Southern gothic." "Smart, textured and romantic."

Love Ridley and Link!

Would you consider the audio edition of Dangerous Creatures to be better than the print version?

Always is,but I only listened...and it was great!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dangerous Creatures?

The Fire, and Ridleys was scary the other funny...Ridley is a mess!!

What about Khristine Hvam’s performance did you like?

I Love her narrations....I have listened to her quite a bit in other series...she is really good!!! I also Like Kevin Collins too!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I hate this question...but this would make a cute movie, if they didn't ruin it like they did beautiful creatures!

Any additional comments?

I like this book and hope they continue the series....Ridley is a very complex and interesting character and Link makes me laugh....this whole book kept e interested from beginning to end....and the cliffhanger it ended on has me dying for more...2 thumbs up and a highly recommend!!!

Sorry I listened to the ending - Book 2...?

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The ending was nothing like the beautiful creatures books. I know its just a book, but it still brings tears to my eyes thinking about how it ended. It seems as though a lot of issues are left unresolved, and I would love another couple of books to resolve those issues as well as fix the ending of this book. What's up with the rings? Why don't they get help from family? I am pretty sure the rest of the family was involved in the death of Abraham, and it seems like he would want to take it out on all of them.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Interesting to be inside of Rid's head and get to know her better. Least interesting or most devastating: Even in Death the Bad Guy Wins.

What about Khristine Hvam’s performance did you like?

Performed well.

Could you see Dangerous Creatures being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I would watch it, as long as this was season one and there are a lot more seasons to explain what is going on and the end wasn't the end that I am left thinking it is.

Any additional comments?

Making this book into a series by adding a second book would improve my rating to five stars.
