Fantastic book!

What made the experience of listening to City of Ashes the most enjoyable?

Its a fantastic story line. It can have you sitting on the edge of your seat dying to know what is going to happen next.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jace would have to be my favourite character, because his life as a lot of interesting twists and turns and throughout it all he still manages to help/stand by the others.

What does Natalie Moore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The different voices/accents for the characters and the parts that are in other languages.
It is very easy to just close you eyes and be swept away by the story. Completely forgetting that it is not reality.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I have this book and the other mortal instrument books has both hardcover and audio books.
So no matter where i am i can pick up where i left off.

Any additional comments?

i suggest this book to anyone who is interested in fantasty, romance and mystery.
This series will always keep you guessing.

The story gets more interesting.

If you could sum up City of Ashes in three words, what would they be?

Love, truth, lies.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Valentine is my favourite character as he balances out the make you vomit love story, and he is just so evil.

Have you listened to any of Natalie Moore’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first Natalie Moore narrated book I have listened to.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I wouldn't. As much as I would love to see these books in film, City of Bones was mangled to badly. Some books should remain books.

My oh my, where to next!

Would you listen to City of Ashes again? Why?

Absolutely, I would and I have and I will :) it's an awesome continuation of the series with new characters and killer plots twists!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I think Alec is hilarious in this one as is Magnus. I always love Izzy's spunk too!

What about Natalie Moore’s performance did you like?

I find Natalie shifts her voice enough that I can immediately tell who is speaking and highlights plot points that might otherwise have been missed in the text

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Alec and Jace realise how deep their friendship really is, that's a great point in the story and a lovely moment between them too!

Any additional comments?

Buy it, read it, listen to it...over and over!

Enjoyable series but for younger audiance

I love all things vampire, werewolf etc so enjoy reading peoples reviews. Several people stated that this could be enjoyed by teenagers and adults alike. I disagree, whilst I really enjoyed the series and there are some heavier issues detailed it is aimed at teenagers or young adults.
