Publisher's Summary

On the eve of their last Christmas with their dying mom, two squabbling siblings find themselves trapped in a magical underground kingdom where everything and everybody is made of glowing minerals and sparkling crystals infused with light. With their house about to be foreclosed on, 13-year-old Maggie is hurt and angry at being so helpless; she doesn't believe in anything she can't touch or see. Her nine-year-old brother, Jesse, lives in hope; he believes in the need to believe. On a quest to find the Wizard of Iz beyond the Lands of Magma and the shadow forests of Fossilia, Jesse and Maggie must evade the evil Red and Orange Sapphire princes, the formidable King Beryl the Bloo, and the wrath of the powerful Holy Clear in order to find the source of light and the truth about themselves so they can find their way home. With the help of the wise and beautiful Princess Amethyst and an unlikely band of crystal creatures, Maggie and Jesse learn that the things that scare them most can waken them to their greatest treasures.

Chrystallia and The Source of Light

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

PM Glaser is a wonderful writer and an amazing storyteller. He is descriptive and as you listen to his story all these pictures swirl around in your head and it plays as though you're watching a movie, even if you've never seen the book. I would recommend both the book and the audible for any age group. It teaches as much to the adults as it does to the children, after all he wrote it "to the child in each of us"(PMG).

What did you like best about this story?

I loved that he used different voices for the different characters. His superb skill of description, acting and directing shine in this audible 'Chrystallia and the Source of Light' is the best written book I have read in a long time and having Paul read it to me made it even better.

What about P.M. Glaser’s performance did you like?

I could listen to him read a newspaper, he has such a way with words and speech that it draws you into the story as though you are watching it firsthand. I truly believe that Paul Michael Glaser, or PM Glaser as listed as author, has outdone himself with this book. It is a true diamond. I'm so glad he wrote it, and was willing to share it with us, the readers and fans.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The entire book moved me. It teaches so many things that it's hard to limit it to a particular instance, or because it is so well versed in this audible, they could all be considered scenes. Everyone experiences fear but what you do with that is what makes you stand out. I will be reading along as Paul reads to me many more times, that Is a fact that is an absolute. I completely enjoyed listening and following along in my head.

Any additional comments?

I can't wait for him to write another book, maybe it'll have an audible for it as well. We, as readers and fans, can only hope.
