Publisher's summary

Calla has always welcomed war. But now that the final battle is upon her, there's more at stake than fighting. There's saving Ren, even if it incurs Shay's wrath. There's keeping Ansel safe, even if he's been branded a traitor. There's proving herself as the pack's alpha, facing unnamable horrors, and ridding the world of the Keepers' magic once and for all. And then there's deciding what to do when the war ends. If Calla makes it out alive, that is. In this remarkable final installment of the Nightshade trilogy, international best-selling author Andrea Cremer crafts a dynamic novel with twists and turns that will keep you breathless until its final pages.

I enjoyed it!

I know there are mixed reviews on this series and especially this 3rd installment, but I enjoyed every bit of it! I was recommended this series by a High school friend and was thrilled when I found this audio version. I feel the narrator was very pleasant to listen too, calming even. I thought her tone was well matched with the story. I was saddened but also content with the ending, it wasn't predictable and I was kept interested in listening to find out if Cala got what she wanted in the end.

Good But???.

Would you be willing to try another book from Andrea Cremer? Why or why not?

I'm not sure at this point. Feelings can enhance a story but in this case there is too much of the same tedious inner conflict.

Was Bloodrose: A Nightshade Novel worth the listening time?

The storyline is greatly diminished by the monotonous inner turmoil of the main character that is really annoying. Do I love this one or that one and should I pick this one or that one, blah blah blah? She's an ALPHA WOLF who demonstrates too much weakness and fear and not enough strength of character or self control. This in itself is a huge contradiction. I have listened to all the books hoping this one would have less inner monologue but it seems to have more.

So sad this is the end but LOVED this trilogy!

Would you listen to Bloodrose: A Nightshade Novel again? Why?

Yes. I have a feeling I will be listening to this trilogy over and over again!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bloodrose: A Nightshade Novel?

The ending. When listening to on audible I was so engrossed in the last four hours I couldn't do anything else but just listen and stay on the edge of my seat waiting!

Have you listened to any of Rebecca Lowman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Just her other performances in the other two Nightshade books. All were do wonderfully I lover her voice and how well she bring so much emotion out in her voice and words

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes... And I did lol

Any additional comments?

Once again just go buy the whole nightshade trilogy worth every penny. This book was a good ending to the trilogy that I have come to love.

awesome

Would you listen to Bloodrose: A Nightshade Novel again? Why?

Review:

I was so sad to get to the last book of this series. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the book but I didn’t want it to be over so I tried to take my time. I couldn’t I rushed through it as fast as the audio would let me. I loved this last book. It was a bitter sweet end to a wonderful journey.

Long story short :

There isn’t much to say about the book’s plot. Readers have seen what’s coming. Nightshade started it and Wolfsbane prepared for it, now Bloodrose will end it. The final showdown, the final battle between Keepers and Searchers, each with wolves by their side. Loyalties have been changed and the packs divided. Now it is time to end it all. Calla will finally have to make a choice between Shay and Ren and become alpha.

My thoughts :

I loved the ending to this series. Well at the time it was the ending to the series. Now there is a fourth installment. I am happy about that but I am not sure which direction the book will take us. Bloodrose had a pretty closed ending, and ending I thought was fit for the series.

This book definitely had my emotions all over the place. I was sad, happy, excited, confused, irritated, frustrated and so much more. The same beautiful writing style, the same awesome storytelling skills, and of course some really cool characters. I really wasn’t sure what the ending would look like and I never expected what I got. For sure the book was full of surprises and shocks.

I must say that I think Calla frustrated me the most in this book. By the third book, she should know what she wants and make up her mind. The playing with both boys hearts really had me at wits end. I loved both boys. I started out liking Shay and Hating Ren… then I put up with Shay and I started to feel for Ren… in the end I loved them both. They both had their great qualities, their weaknesses, and a place in my heart. I knew in my heart who Calla should choose but it didn’t make it any easier for me. Sometimes I really thought Calla didn’t deserve either one of them. In the end Calla figured it all out and redeemed herself in my eyes.

The other characters in the book are really the best characters for me.. Conner, Bryn, Ansel, and so many more. I love them all. I grew so close to each and every one of them and it broke my heart every time they were hurt. Andrea Cremer does not shy away from hurt, pain, broken hearts, and even death.

I think this was a wonderful ending to a great story

In the end :

A roller coaster of a ride, so many twists and turns and heartache and joys. Loved it!

Not the ending I expected!

I'm a little sad that this series is over, but I'm happy to say that it was not predictable. Usually I can see the conclusion from a mile away, but I have to say that I really didn't know what the crap was going to happen until I got to the last chapter.

Rebecca Lowman is awesome. She has a pretty distinct voice (I wanna say mid-west-ish...?) and she really breathes life into the story. I think she's one of the reasons I enjoyed this series so much.

Andrea Cremer weaves quite a story. There's action (scuba diving), romance (love triangle) and multi-dimensional characters. Usually, in a series, the author feels the need to re-explain some of the basic plot twists that took place in earlier books and I always find it kind of annoying... I mean, if I'm reading book three I obviously read books one and two. My point is that Ms.Cremer does a minimal amount of backtracking, which I find refreshing.

I officially recommend this book, NAY- this series.

Great storyline but some annoying characters

Original storyline undermined by juvenile bickering; but overall most characters were really great. Fantastic Narrator!!

Excelent Conclusion to this series

Where does Bloodrose: A Nightshade Novel rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of my top 5 series I just loved. If you like romance, adventure, and of course stories about wolves then this one is for you.

What other book might you compare Bloodrose: A Nightshade Novel to and why?

The whole time I was listening to these books I kept thinking they reminded me of the Hunger Games with wolves in it. A different story of course but It has the same feel to it as the Hunger Games which I also loved.

What does Rebecca Lowman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The Narrator really does a great job at the different voices and the characteristics of each voice. I very much enjoyed listening to her.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I couldn't stop listening once I started, it was very intense.

Any additional comments?

I thought that this was an awesome end to this series even though I will miss it. The Author did a great job at giving you some closure at the end. Loved It!!!
