Thanks to the eradication of the draug, the vampires of Morganville have been freed of their usual constraints. With the vampires indulging their every whim, the town's human population is determined to hold onto their lives by taking up arms. But college student Claire Danvers isn't taking sides, considering she has ties to both humans and vampires. To make matters worse, a television show comes to Morganville looking for ghosts, just as vampire and human politics collide. Now, Claire and her friends have to figure out how to keep the peace without ending up on the nightly news... or worse.

Good book ... Bad narrator
The book was great but....
This is the last book I will purchase from this series if it is narrated by Angela Dawe. I love these books and was so disappointed Cynthia Holloway was not reading.
If changes were to be made they should have considered replacing editors instead of the narrator. The errors made in names (Black Dawn) and unless I missed something from many listenings a significant occurrence at the end of Midnight Alley (3rd book) is referred to in the fourth book Feast of Fools as a completely different type of wound over and over.
Please bring back Cynthia Holloway for future books in this series.

Angela Dawe painful
The actual story is great! I love all the Morganville books!
No way. She makes listening to the book absolutely painful. She slaughtered Myrnins prior interesting and playful voice. Actually every character she portrays is made to seem boring and somewhat annoying. I said I would try her one more time after the last book. Never again!
