Publisher's summary

Unlike her friends, 15-year-old Alora has visions...only while in the shower. And only of one stranger: a handsome boy with long brown hair, intense green eyes, and the oddest clothes. A boy who vanishes whenever she opens her eyes. And then one day, he doesn't...Alora's safe world is soon turned upside down as she's thrust into another realm where her soulmate waits, magic abounds, and unfathomable evil seeks to claim her.

Really Great Book

If you could sum up Alora: The Wander-Jewel in three words, what would they be?

Attention Grabbing Book

What other book might you compare Alora: The Wander-Jewel to and why?

I would compare Alora: The Wander Jewel to exciting adventurous books like Divergent, Matched by Allie Condie or Harry Potter.

What about David Penner’s performance did you like?

I liked the way that David Penner kept all of the character's separate. He kept the story really interesting. Takes you a minute to realize why he is pausing all the time. He is pausing in between different realms and points of view.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me laugh all the time. It made me crack up laughing while I was cleaning at work. Coming from the viewpoint of a 30 year old guy this is an awesome book. And listening to it as a night custodian while I was at work was very entertaining.

Any additional comments?

I can't wait for the next book to be on Audible.

awesome series

What a great start to a series. I cannot wait to read more of it! I loved the story line! The characters were well written and I loved listening to the narrator.

A nice romance story with a twist

I loved this book. It kept me up late at night every night. It has a nice romantic twist. Even if I don't like romance this is a definite book that I would recommend. I loved this book and would love to read the sequel.
But not everything's perfect. I felt at the beginning I didn't know what was going on but it only took me a few chapters to get what was going on. I don't usually have an interest in romance stories so I didn't particularly like the romance parts. But other than that it was great! Keep up the good work

Could Not Be Better

it is one thing to listen to writings of an author you have not met. it is another to listen to writings of an author you have, but as you listen you realize you have never met the writer, while you are swept away in river of their presentation and their skill to tell a story that immediately consumes your interest, stimulates your imagination and leaves you with a burning question; who is this person I have been meeting with? Tammie, you really put your foot in this one and my granddaughter loves it which is a compliment because she does not like anything. All the best. Andre P. Malone

interesting story but...

i feel like i am reading a coolt story but written by someone inexperience in character writing. On top of that the preformer doesn't have the same rhythm as the story.
So I can't say it is good but I still enjoyed the time lissening to it.

Not impressed by this production

I think this story could be a good one but I couldn’t last past chapter 6. It’s the narration (pretty lame) and the story dragged somewhat. Not up to Dearen’s usual standard. I’m not sure if it would have felt that way, if the narration had been better.
