Publisher's Summary

From best-selling author Meg Cabot, Airhead begins a series of books featuring Emerson Watts (Em, please). She doesn't want to go, but Em must chaperone her little sister to the grand opening of a new Stark Megastore. Her sister can't wait to see the heartthrobs and supermodels that will make an appearance, including hunky Gabriel Luna and beautiful Nikki Howard. Em couldn't care less. Then disaster strikes, and after a bizarre accident, it seems that Em just isn't herself any more - literally.

A good escape

I'm an adult and enjoyed this "teen" book. Cabot explores one of the most common desires of all teenage girls--to become instantly rich, beautiful and popular--yet without the "work!" It was a great read but I thought the ending was weak. It seemed the author ran out of ideas and just ended it. Apart from that, I would recommend it for teens and anyone wanting a good, clean, fun read.

One of her best - a great read

This book is great - I hope this turns into a series. I love the dilema facing Em/Nicky and the wonders & joys of discovering her new "persona" and trying to stay in close contact with her family. This "theme" has a lot of room for more exploration.
