Publisher's summary

The third book in the internationally best-selling Tomorrow, When the War Began series.

What's the biggest danger you can think of? This is bigger. What's the toughest challenge you can imagine? This is tougher. What's the greatest fear you have? You're about to find out.

"How long do you think they'll keep looking for us?" I asked Lee, as we lay there. "Until they find us," he answered grimly.

They came in summer. They fell upon the land swiftly and suddenly. Through autumn they spread, like locusts, like mice, like a plague. Now its winter. They're still here. But so too are Ellie and Homer and their friends.

The war of attrition

This book is the slowest of the first three but it needed to be slow. It lets our characters live in the war torn world without being machines. Excellent book

The 3rd day the frost a great book

The third day the frost was a great book. Very suspenseful couldn't put it down. I finished the book in one day and the whole series in less than a week. Not much of a reader but these books I would recommend to anybody. The only thing I didn't like as they change the narrator on the last two books of the Ellie chronicles. I was already used to thinking the main character (Ellie's) voice sounded like Suzi Dougherty so that was a bummer. But if you can get past that Great books.

It just keeps getting better

What made the experience of listening to A Killing Frost the most enjoyable?

Marsden mixed some many emotions, it's like he telling several stories at once.

What other book might you compare A Killing Frost to and why?

Hunger Games

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Another excellent story

Any additional comments?

Read the earlier novels in the series first, and enjoy the development of the characters.

The stakes are getting higher!

I didn't remember most of what happened in this book, it made me feel like I was reading it for the first time again. I'm looking forward to the next one, I know it'll slow a little bit as the group are stuck in NZ but then it'll pick up and I can't wait.
