Publisher's summary

I'm not supposed to be here.

Death has come for me more than once, and each time it's been a boy who's stood between me and my final breath.

I called him Christopher when he saved me as a child. When he came into my life again, only months ago, I knew him as Wes. Just as he did the time before, he disappeared the moment he made sure I was out of harm's way; as if I didn't need any more saving.

This time, though, death left me with a reminder of how powerful it is. I know it meant to strip me of my spirit again, but it failed.

Even so, I know I need Wes to survive. Our souls are woven together somehow, our every breath in sync. I feel it, even though everyone says I shouldn't.

The world thinks he's missing.

His loved ones don't want to believe he's dead.

Only I know just how special he is.

I'm going to find him and bring him home, where he belongs. Together, we'll face impossible--we'll rewrite our ending.

And when the bad guys come calling, we will always win.

Perfect ending to a amazing deep story!

A beautiful ending to a amazing two audio book series. It started right off where the book one ended. Joss is determined to get answers and find the boy that makes her breathe. This audio book tugs at your heart and shows you what love, determination and family all mean in one. Joss and Wes story is one I'll never forget. This book answers all the questions book one left you wondering in your thoughts. Joss makes you feel her strength and love. Wes makes you love him and see the boy with a huge heart. No spoilers here better to listen to it not having any glimpse of what happens so you can feel all the twist and turns and shocking details and fall I love with Joss and Wes again. "I loved you" 5/5 stars amazing narration! Perfectly represented the story and made me feel the characters!

I expected more

The 1st book in the series made that i wanted to read the second, but was a let down. Very slow and i lost interest after the first 2 hours of the book. I expect more because i love the authors previous books.

4 stars

I liked the first one a lot more than this final installment. While the writing was good, something about the story itself kept me from loving it. I felt some parts were slow as well. I do feel like it is a duet that needs to be read. Kai did an amazing job narrating the story.

I tried so hard to like it . . . :(

First I want to point out that I love Ginger Scott. I’ve read/listened to some of her books multiple times, but A Girl Like Me is a just a sad cluster of disappointment. I couldn’t wait to continue on from book one and find out more. But ugh..... the second book severely lacked focus. It poked and prodded at serious life issues and while floating around on a cloud of confusing superhero theories. The build up was all over the place with way too many conflicting themes.

And the answers I wanted most were never given.

I literally had to force myself to listen to the last half and it never improved. I was left asking myself, “What the heck was that?” And, “Who decided this book was good to go?”

The sequel completely disconnected me from the characters I loved in book one. I’m so sad because it could’ve been amazing, but it was just a waste of time. And now I’ll never read this series again.
